NYK did you get your order ok from AF?:confused:I ordered mine on Friday and no sign of it or email yet, and when I rang Dan today he said it should arrive tomoz, so fingers crossed:o

Have you checked on Google to see what's happening? My 'order despatched' email arrived late last night with the parcel tracking number, delivery arrived at lunchtime today. Several items out of stock but they seem to refund the difference pretty quickly. On the whole, it is a great saving for me, even allowing for the delivery charges. :D

  • Hi Everyone!!
Well I'm struggling a little at the mo.

Not so much with the spending as I'm lucky in doing the Grocery Challenge last year that the frugal mind set is well and truly stuck.

Firstly as someone said here about the diet making you want to sin more.. well since Friday I've eaten chocolate and sweets..at least the Christmas stock is finished now. And I've done less exercising!
And yesterday...OH confessed that he didn't like the porridge we have stockpiled for the year..I did ask him to try before we bought it but he assured me he'd like it..so he used some to make flapjacks which he'll eat instead of Hobnobs and pay me the money for them to make up the cost of the porridge. So its sorted out.
So why do I feel down about this??? Probably just super tired from school and fed up that I don't have much free time in the evening.. SFT

    Congrats Pips Mum
Well done Everyone who is doing well and hugs for those who need them X

Its the best way isnt it? I did the last one on the phone and its good-but you need registration doc for the phone. Now why on earth they cant check your eligibilty at the Post Office is a mystery-no doubt they will be able to do it one day! I just couldnt believe how easy it was myself! Glad that helped you out! My brother also didnt realise he could do that so told him to much to his relief! Oh dear-another Choc muffin-can't help myself!

A big Congrats to Pipsmum, well done.

Not really spent much, left that to OH lol.

I'm really glad I work full time now because I don't have time to go shopping. Food shopping included so I will have to sort something out, maybe go straight after work on a Friday, or when OH comes home from work on a Saturday.

My little boy who turned 3 on New Years Day started school last week, so I will be able to stop paying for nursery fees once he's there full time, (he stays until 1.15 atm) He looks so cute in his uniform!

Spent 45p only yesterday on a bag of Large QUavers.

Today spent £15 odd on my Equifax Credit Report, needed to check if a couple of yellow marks (not my fault) had been taken off but they havent so I am not pleased!

Good to hear everyone is keeping positive...

    Hellloooo everyone :D

Had a nice day today; we had a team day at work and (unlike most I have had in the past) it was very positive and was concentrating all on the team just getting on and working together. We went out for lunch and work paid the first five quid which was good, it was a happy hour pizza lunch and mine came to £5.40 so only £1.40 to pay so all good.

    Other spends today;

60p can of pop, £5 towards a friend's leaving present at work, 68p for a big bunch of coriander

Made a lovely tea of HM veggie pie with roasted carrotts and potato in rosemary. Absolutely delish. also boiled up a load of other potatoes (that I got reduced a couple of days ago) and am making portions of mash to freeze. Lovely comfort food for this freezing weather.

Trying to get sorted today as I am going away to Manchester and Liverpool or a three day weekend, visiting friends, going to a gig and going to a non league football match, yippeee. Travel was a bargain (booked with vouchers) and the hotel was also an offer on this site so only costing us £27 each for two nights, it's a lovely hotel too. Really looking forward to a well deserved break :D

Enjoy the rest of your evenings!
