My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Very pleased as I haven't spent any money today- went to Post Office on a mystery shop and posted all my letters etc. New job is fab really enjoyable with zero stress and I worked out that I should earn about £250 a month from it. Bit of a change from 40k!! But with mystery shopping and rental income if I succeed with the challenge I'll still be able to achieve my financial goals.
Have decided I'd like to do something worthwhile with my free time over the summer so am going to see if there are any conservation projects locally. Now this huge weight of panicky stress and worry has lifted I feel like I have time and space to think about the opportunities that I could take advantage of.
When I went to the library to try and get the book Nella's war Sophiesmum and a cpl of others mentioned all 18 copies were out!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 -

Check out post one of this thread for handy links, the remoska thread is there, should be full of info and have all the right answers to your questions. Glad your bargain buy arrived safely, have fun frugal cooking.
I ended up making another apple crumble today and we had it with custard after dinner (hm ham & cheese quiche). 2009 is not going to be a dieting year but I'll still try my best to cut down and do extra exercise in February.
I've sorted out my £30 worth of food from AppF00d and counted up that the same items would have cost me over £80 to buy if I'd gone to the normal supermarket. I am delighted with my order, despite a minor invoicing error.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi all!
I went into boots (for the 75% sale) this morning and bought some gift sets for pressies etc and a random stranger gave me a boots gift card with £3.54 on it for no reason. She was in such a rush and I was a bit shell shocked (so was a bit suspisious) but a boots staff member checked the card and it was fine!! :j Wow... what a lovely person! :T I need think of something to do to "pay it forwards" and make another person smile!!
I bought my perfume too... It came with a free bag which appears to be selling on ebay for ~£15 - £25  so I need to get over my ebay phobia (and get my camera back from my parents  ) as I'll never use the bag.
Maybe I should give the money I (hopefully) make to a charity as a pay it forward type thing? What do you think?

Hi all,
Congrats skint chick for your new job. Well done! :j
My job hunt hasn't really progressed. I went to one place today for the off chance of being able to show my face to the HR but she was on holiday. Had a walk around and didn't get that feeling - wow, I want to work here. I did get a feeling that I would like to volunteer there at some point but not work. I have some other places I can contact but am a bit lost of what direction to take. My study plan won't work unless I can get a job that I can do around college hours.
Then when I was sorting my papers I realised to my horror that I hadn't renewed my car tax in the end of the year  and when I tried to do it in post office they didn't accept all the stuff I had printed from the net when I took my insurance and refused to give me my tax disc. Will try another post office tomorrow and failing that need to call the insurance company.
So after today I feel that I really would like to have a stiff drink but fortunately there is nothing in the house. I might go and get something tomorrow as thanks to some old bingo wins combined with MB profits, that landed into my account yesterday, I feel rather rich at the moment. Even so that was able to transfer £75 into savings account, £60 towards February utilities and £15 towards TV licence.
My supper tonight has been a bit of a mystery as first it was supposed to be chicken legs in tomato sauce cooked in SC but forgot to take the chicken out from the freezer. Then took mince out as thought it would defrost quicker and didn't manage to get it in SC in time so need to go and do some kind of tomato, frozen veggie, mince sauce thingy on the hob. I will get my weekly food done on Sunday, I will get my weekly food done on Sunday, I will get my..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
