Welcome save-a-holic, I have now added your name to the challenger list. Have fun in 2009. I would be more than willing to save a 'holic' and give it a good home, do these make good pets?
FrankieM, LOVE the tiny house on that webpage, it reminds me of a gypsy caravan you could build from flatpack.
Hi Thrifty, that's good news about the central heating
Can someone please do a little list of frugalers who are expecting frugalmites this year, so we know who is expecting when? I have such a bad memory! Is Pip's Mum still holding on? Has anyone heard how Weezl is doing? Must make extra time to keep up with what's going on in the procreational sector of our Frugal Kingdom (Frugaldom). :rotfl:
Thought I'd best let you all know that MRSMCAWBER chose to leave this challenge. I'm not sure who asked her a question recently, I meant to say about it then but forgot, sorry. You'll still find her on the grocery challenge thread and I'm sure she'll take a look in here now and again if she finds the time. Sorry to see you go MrsM, hope it wasn't anything we did or said.

Afternoon Everyone
It is absolutely freezing here today the garden and the car are still covered in ice. The electric went off this morning for about 20mins so I must turn out the camping stove and the candles in case it happens again this evening.
Made a trip into Mr M's, as I was passing for work, I got some of the Br*nston beans that are on offer 75p for 4 I got 3 of these to add to my stockpile.
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Started with imeasure 3 days ago and used nearly £20 of gas in 48 hours,
you need to investigate that amount as its horrendous for a small house.
We have a largish victorian terraced house and keep our ch on 24/7 very low. we average £2.00 per 24hrs on a mild day like the other week (forgotten it already) and £4 per day till today but I think I am going to have to put it up a bit as the largest room is 14deg.

Fizzel, while I admire your stockpiling (I do as much as I can) and don't want to rain on your parade, just be a bit careful with the olive oil as it doesn't last forever and goes weird tasting. If you've got enough for more than a year then it might be a good idea to share some of it out with friends.
at risk of sounding dead stupid i had no idea, dammit got 6 750ml bottles of light olive oil, i know i can use it in place of butter when using the breadmaker and in the roasties etc i do so fingers crossed i get through it, i honestly didnt think when i brought it, i got through no more than 500ml tops in the last year , i do now have a deep fat fryer was brought for me last summer but i very rarely use it so it would be wasted in there:oDFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010
