Had confirmation from my area manager and I am not allowed to have my chickens, more flippin red tape and H & S "guidelines" from head office after the avian flu thing:mad:   ...... pah!!!!
Feeling really , really fed up now. The chicken run I ordered is due to be delivered this week - so now either need to sell it on or maybe keep it for future use. We have recently had a change to our work contracts which mens we could live out if we wished with a small increase in salary....... feel so fed up I have been looking for houses to rent locally.... I found one nearby for £450 month which would be okay and it allows pets etc too.... OH doesn't like the idea but I am getting fed up of having limitations put on my leisure time/lifestyle by living here even though the accomodation etc is a good perk to my job
Not a happy bunny today at all, off to do my chair based exercse class with the oldies but feeling very grumpy . Will post again later when I have chilled out a bit.
:grouphug:What about an allotment, some of them allow chickens.
Just had my intermittent newsletter through that reminded me of this gardening site that might be of use to those planning on growing things this year.

If you do decide to sell on the coop I'd wait a bit until people are venturing out into their gardens and the new layers are available as I think more people will be looking then IMHOAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

I'm sorry about your chickadees sophiesmum, hope you feel better about it later on. Just fast forward a wee bit and when you get to Malta, you can get all the chickens you like. I hate it when I have something I really want, cause I don't want that much. xx0

Hello all,
Oh Sophiesmum!! I am so sorry about the chickens!Don't know what to say.
Skint Lynne, thank you for your wonderful posts, you have kept me truly entertained here.
I was browsing the web yesterday in the aim of job hunting and ended up to this animal rescue site and they had goats!!! Now I want to have a goat. There is a place near me where there are several goats and a donkey together. Need to go and ask who owns them if I can go and cuddle them.
My aim of going to my placement today was outruled by me looking this morning like a supporting cast from Dracula so I called in sick and have been sleeping most of the day. Had to get up to get some lunch before taking the dogs out and picking DD up from the nursery.
About Qu1dc0. Last year I tried to join one bingo site that also has free scratch cards through Q but I couldn't as I already was a member of a bookie linked to the bingo site and also my deposit didn't go through. As it happens I got £30 cash back today from that bingo site via Q. This has now brought me back in black and I have enough to cover my mobile bill (if I don't spend anymore until I earn more). Only planned purchase for today is some eggs (forgot yesterday) as I still have some rice left and I fancy more of that MrsMc's lovely fried rice for supper.

oh SM, you must be so disappointed - you are such an amazing upbeat person normally, so feel gutted for you.
Kittikins - HM ice cream. Bring it on:D .On the other hand, made the crumble for OH as I don't eat it, so probably not free to give away his 'reward for being a good boy yesterday':rotfl: : you should should have a chat with Marru - she's a crumble fiend.
My good news is that A&L have today credited my account with £100 for switching to them back in September. So thanks to all that flagged that offer up, particlarly those on the £1000 in 100day challenge:T . Still waiting for the related quidco £50 that was validated some while back. All going towards kitchen project.
Duvet day today so another NSD. Had to put CH on though as it is very cold.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

I just can't make nice bread!
I'm ok with baguette's - they come out really nice, what I would really like to do is make a bread that is similar to the bread you buy in the supermarket bakery. Mine rises ok as I know about the second rise now, but the white bread is usually stodgy.
I've got a new recipe I'm trying at he moment that puts the yeast in with the water and sugar, so just trying that.
Bread and bolognaise sauce are the only two thing I just can not make!

Afternoon everyone,
I found some leftover chinese takeaway and rice in the freezer so I had that lunch instead of soup. It was very yummy but I am going to have to get the soup eaten..then its gone!
I've also found some tomato based leftovers to make a lasagne with, some chipolatas to make a sausage casserole and my leftover chicken and chicken gravy to make a chicken pie. I've just got one meal to find to see me through the weekend...
I also need to cook up some meals for when DH and I are away. I think I may do that tomorrow with this weeks veg before my shopping delivery arrives.
Kinders will be home soon so going to crack on with some stuff till they get here...
I've always liked the idea of having ducks, myself. They seem friendlier to me, but DH reckons I need a pond...
Thanks also for the heads up about seeds in Wilkinsons, I may pop in tomorrow and see what they've got...0 -
Is ebay difficult ??
Ebay is a piece of cake, before you start take a look at other auction listings to get a feel for it.
There are places you can go for a free template, free picture hosting etc etc.
Take a look at the pricing too.

My friend just sent me this link

Apparently Tesco are cutting the price of many of their staple products.
