Then there is Hitatchi Capital (DFS Sofa) ..:rolleyes: who have refused my offer twice.. (been quite nasty and threatening) .. and still havent cashed my token payment.
Sure I've read somewhere but by making the offers and keeping records, if they were to try to take you to court you could present these offers of payments, and if that's all you can afford then that's all the court would be able to make you pay, so they would tell them to put up & shut up.
Maybe wrong but sure that's why it's important to make the token payments - cashed or not - because it proves your willingness to pay.
If I've got it all wrong very very sorry:o:o

Good Morning Fellow DMPers,
I had my 1st review with the CCCS today, pretty standard after being on the plan for 4 mths. They basically check to see that your managing on your budget etc.
I have now increased my payment from the 1st of July to £1189 p/m (was £874) as I pay off my car tomorrow. :T It's the first time I have actually completed a loan. I've always paid off existing loans with consolidation loans etc. so never actually handed over that final payment. Yet another reason why consoildation loans very rarely work.
Therefore the good news.......
DFD had reduced from Feb 2017 to Feb 2015, only 68 more payments to go. Just need to shave a month of it to meet my target (be debt free by my 40 birthday).

Great news Bigmomma! :j
I have never paid off a loan either - always consolidated, so must feel great to get rid of that and see you DFD come ever closer!
Your post was quite timely as I was wondering how often CCCS review DMPs - only been going since 1st April - can't believe I'm on my 3rd payment already - so thanks for the info.
Well done again!!
Also best of luck to the newbies who started a DMP on 1st June!! :T
Best wishes

Hi Ollie :hello:
Nothing to worry about basically all they did was go through the budget sheet we filled in at the start of DMP. Basically asked what our income was and then mortgage etc. All ours stayed the same apart from our mortgage which has went down, electric & phone I increased a bit as they have gone up. The only thing she questioned was that I upped my car servicing to £60 p/m, but she made a note that I have a diesel 4x4 that needs servicing twice a year and an Alfa (which everyone knows falls apart by just looking at it), so shouldn't be a problem. I also upped my petrol to £320 as £260 wasn't realistic. 2 cars travelling 100miles a day  just to get to work and back, so again she made notes incase our creditors queried the rise.
However as I have finished one off my HP loans I was in a good position to increase my payments. Would have like a couple of months to add to our non existent emergency fund but she wasn't having it. I also asked what happens if my mortgage etc goes up she said no worries we just do another review.
Took about 5-10 mins.

Hi Becks
Thanks for that - I'm a bit nervous as never spoken to them before, everything was previously set up on line.

 Hitachi Capital are soooo unfriendly..
1st reply to my offer.. ~ 'NO WAY'
2nd Reply.. to my 'Please reconsider' ~ 'NO WAYY!!'
3rd Letter from them..
'Notice of Default Sum'
(which they are charging me £25 for the pleasure of having)
hahah! at the end of the letter it says ' If you unable to make the above payment, please contact us to discuss your situation with one of our agents'
HELLO?!.. I did .. you eejits. .. Twice! :wall:
Anyway.. it says I have 5 days or further action will be taken.
Oh... so anyway.. Question: so thats only a 'Notice of Default Sum'.. not a 'Default Notice?'
Or is it the same thing? .. only my RBOS 'Notice of Default' .. looked much more official.. and was not a 'Letter'
Oh.. its not a 'Default Notice' is it.. Duh!..
Gaawwd.. one day when I grow up I'd like to have a 'Reeeeeaal Braaaain'Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
