I sent my MBNA token payment to the following address:
MBNA Europe Bank Ltd (Customer Services)
PO Box 1004
Chester Business Park
Chester
CH4 9WW
I have 3 MBNA accounts and they have been really good, have stopped interest on all 3 accounts for the next 12mths and have restructured my account so it now doesn't appear in arrears (mind you don't know what difference it makes). They have also said once I have finished my DMP i can stilll use my accounts. Hmmm I don't think so... don't ever want to get in this mess again.
No account with TSB so can't help there.

Had 3 letters from creditors today - Capital One saying they have put me on a reduced payment plan - but not actually saying if they agree with amounts they will be getting, plus they sent a default notice.
2 letters from MBNA one for me one for DH both accepting payments on the plan - I am really pleased, only another 8 to hear from now!!
No phone calls YET either.......0 -
Ahhh.. Jay answered you.. (phew!) haha
..
You have saved yourself a lot of hassle changing your phone number.. Mind you .. that said..
So far, the first two weeks HSBC called me 10-15 times per day.. Till I picked up. (told them about my DMP, that I had sent letters etc etc)
They called me once the next morning.. (missed call) ..
and not a dicky bird since. (that was over a week ago now) .. Also!.. Capital One has called me.. once.. and so far now.. its been about a month.. and no one else has called.
Keep in mind too.. that yep you will get letters that say all sorts of scary stuff.. TRY not to 'take it to heart' ... Those are not aimed at YOU.. they are just standard letters that anyone in this situation gets.
DO NOT be bullied . or threatened. Stand your ground.
Take a deeeep breeeeathe. Read your letters..(try not to worry.. standard threats of pay up or else.. blah blah blah )
Then come here and ask what to do.. or tell us what you got or whatever.
There are soooooooo MANY people heaps in the same situation.. further along in the process than you.. far behind you.. or in almost exactly the same place.
But everyone sharing ideas and advice..
you'll be fine! REALLY!.. Its just scary now. (thats all)

Hey Crafty
Was that your first letter from them? .. Or ha they already written to you asking you to send bank statement.. Wage slip.. and proof of benefits?
(thats what they asked me for.. and some other peeps too)..
(For anyone else reading.. You dont have to send those by the way)
Crafty.. They wrote asking me for those.. and offered me two plans.. 6mths short term plan.. of no interest extra.. 5 smaller payments.. and one big final. But not default on credit file.. OR.. Longer payments (still interest frozen) .. reviewed 12mthly.. BUT default on credit file.
I havent taken either offer yet.. I have just sent them a CCA request tho.

I would downgrade to an 'Advance' a/c if i was you - i had a plus a/c & they are fab - if you travel abroad more than once a year?
but i suspect they would downgrade it anyway.
sorry - that sounds like rubbish advice - but i haven't worked in a branch for over 5 yrs - i sit in an admin office!
sas
Thanks Saskia I will be asking them to downgrade as I wont be using the account again, its a shame as I really like my HSBC account, but I am starting to get used to my Abbey account.LBM MAY 2009 :T
