    WOOOHOO!! :T :rotfl:

    Thats GREAT Leese!!

Sorry to take so long to reply I was blabbering.. (surprise surprise)

Such a good feeling to be moving in the RIGHT direction at least.. isnt it! :T

Yep!.. I am one creditor down! :T

    But! :rotfl:

It was my own stupid error.. Originally.. I had thought my Morgan Stanley CC.. and Barclaycard Cash Card.. were two different debts!.. (I have thought that all along!)..

But.. I found out today.. that they are the SAME debt.
I no longer have a Morgan Stanley.. Because it got taken over by the Barclaycard Cash card. (i just didn't open half the post back then)

So that was a bonus!.. I'm already one creditor down.. and £400 less.. in debt than I thought.. :rotfl:

Nice one, we always welcome good news :T Has any of your creditors acctully written to you and agreed your offer yet?

    Hi
Does anyone think that Natwest Bank would downgrade my account so the monlthy charge for the bank account will be no more? Or would they refuse as it is in the DMP now?
Anyone had experience in this? I am guessing they will probably say no,but worth a try eh?
    Thank you

Do you have a special account? I have HSBC Plus account which I pay £12.00 per month but I would expect them to do away with this once they get round to reading my DMP letter as I wont be using their bank account anymore thus not benefiting from a special account. ( I have a new account with Abbey now )

Saskia do you know whether HSBC will do away with my plus account?

I would downgrade to an 'Advance' a/c if i was you - i had a plus a/c & they are fab - if you travel abroad more than once a year?

but i suspect they would downgrade it anyway.

sorry - that sounds like rubbish advice - but i haven't worked in a branch for over 5 yrs - i sit in an admin office!

    Hiya,

Dont know about Nat West as they are my new basic bank account, but when I was with Lloyds TSB, they insisted that I downgrade from a Gold Account to a Classic Account in order for them to accept the DMP payments as the monthly fee was higher than the amount being offered.

I just had to put it in writing to my local branch and it was sorted.

They defaulted me and closed the account the following month however, so a complete waste of time really!!!

    Hi All,

Just a quick question. I made my first payment to CCCS on Monday via Transcash at the post office. I was just wondering how long this usually takes to show up on their online system, as it still isn't and as it is my first payment I just want to make dure it gets there ok.

In the future it will be done by standing order, payment already set up so alot easier.

    Cheers

Hi smcshane - I think it does take about 10 days or so to update on their online system (from what I remember - it was a bit slow) - if you are worried, just ring them to ask if they have had it ok ;)

    Hi there

I think it took 5 days for my first CCCS transcash payment to show up. But give CCCS a ring to check to be sure - or send them an e-mail if you're all set up with your DMP online account - you get a response within about 24 hours or less.

Sure it'll be ok - transcash via the Postoffice is pretty secure.

    Best wishes

The account I have is a Advantage Gold,I was going to down grade last year when finances were ok (ish) but I had(and still do) a large overdraft on it and I was worried that that they may take it away so I didnt change it.Really need to change it though as they charges per month for this are only around £12 less than the DMP payment!! Gggrrrrrrrrrr:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Will write a letter to ask them to downgrade account and also ask them to stop interest again!!

    Thank you
