They don't charge anything either to help, and they've been very good with my husband's CCCS plan to date. Is there any reason you don't want to use them? Just curious! Sorry I cannot answer the original question, I'm not sure, not heard of anyone going alone.
I just want to say CCCS have been great with me to and my DMP is now running smothly but its just little things for example i want to keep my payment amount the same for the next 12 months and with the bit of extra money that i have i want to save that so i can offer F&F settlement offers at the end of the year but CCCS wont let me do that they want me to up my payments to all my creditors (which i suppose is the fair way) but i want to slowely go through all my creditors one by one and offer F&F settlements .Also with CCCS they are not flexable with the payment dates i wanted to change mine for a week later but they woundnt let me ,all my payments to creditors are all due at the end of the month so they would have still got my payments in plenty of time .I think if i go it alone then its me whos in control .0 -
Well, EGG are still amusing me. Yesterday, I got a letter from CCCS saying that EGG have said they are unable to accept the reduced payment proposal offered because the have No Record of the Account. CCCS will still send monthly payments to them, but I'm a bit
as to what EGG are on about! Plus, if they have no record of the account, then arguably they shouldn't get any monthly payment at all!
Halifax have now decided to be difficult, I got a call on Wednesday, from a very rude woman, so I refused to give her security information, thanked her for calling and hung up. So they text me to ask me to call - which I did. Initially he said it would be because they do a 3 month review and I've been on the DMP for 3 months. Then he said it wasn't that, it was that the April payment hadn't been received. So he then "re-keyed" it and that was that. Oh, and he also said that they had it "keyed" for the 28th of the month (and they were calling on the 29th).
So, you can imagine how impressed I was to get a phone call from Halifax at 8 o'clock this morning! I was in work last night and didn't get to sleep until about 4.30am  I answered, mainly so I could bounce them for waking me up at an ungodly hour! This phone call was classic - 3 month review. Told him that nothing changed and I'd spoken to someone this week already. So then he started saying that he'd hold calls for 10 days because they weren't aware that payments came at the end of the month - except they've had 3 payments and are actually fully aware. And also the fact that it was "keyed" for the 28th. He also revealed that the payment had been received on the 23rd April, so Wednesday's phone call was all rubbish. So I asked why on earth I would need a phone call in 10 days. He kept saying that circumstances can change in 10 days. But couldn't actually tell me WHY anyone would make a phone call in 10 days time. Ok, they do 3 month reviews so I said fine, phone me in 3 months and I'll tell you that nothing has changed, speak to you in 3 months time, thanks! And still he could give me no answer to the question of WHY they would feel the need to call in 10 days. So I told him the whole thing smacked of harassment and that I wanted my number taken off the database and they could deal in writing from now on. He said he needed to speak to a manager about that. Told him that was rubbish too, and that I would be writing to them to tell them not to phone me any more. It really is harassing behaviour. I was so  To be slightly fair to the fella, he was polite the whole time and wasn't rude, but nor could he actually answer my questions with a sensible answer!
So, now I need to write to them and tell them they are harassing me and to leave me alone. Fun times for a Bank Holiday weekend!Smober since 05/12/2008 :j

Anyone else found HSBC unhelpful? They received the letters but have not "actioned" them and wont be doing so until...... the day AFTER payment is due so therefore I will be incurring a charge! We had bank accounts (with overdrafts) and a credit card with them so they are the biggest creditor and they aren't being helpful at all. The line was all crackly and I had to keep asking them to repeat what they were saying. Nightmare.
So much for letting CCCS liaise with the creditors, all those that wouldn't accept have needed phone calls off me explaining and begging for them to accept and they have done. It gets better after the first couple of months doesn't it?0 -
Oh now I am pure spitting feathers!!!:mad::mad::mad: ANOTHER phone call just now from Halifax - this time on my home phone!! Girl said where she was phoning from and asked if I'd had a phone call today (not asking me for any security details - it was them though, cos I've got caller ID), and when I said yes, at 8 o'clock this morning, which was greatly unappreciated and it was the 2nd phone call this week for utterly pointless reasons, she apologised for the repeat phone call, thanked me for my time and hung up.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
AND, to pee me off even more, I got my statement from them today - they are one of my lowest creditors (out of 7!!) and they're still adding interest, at 17.9%. G*TS!! Am booting up the big 'pooter as we speak to fire off my harassment letter (printer is hooked up to that one and not my laptop).Smober since 05/12/2008 :j

I've heard people say that HSBC are unhelpful - as you can see by my recent rants, EGG and Halifax are also unhelpful! I haven't had to contact my creditors to get them to accept, they're just being stupid  It does settle down - after my first month, it was all quiet and great, it's only at this 3 month mark that Halifax have decided to be tools. EGG have been tools since the beginning! :rolleyes:Smober since 05/12/2008 :j

I've got a 8.5k debt with HSBC so will see how I get on. I've already changed my home phone number, and they can no longer get of hold of me through work so it's just my mobile number they will try. And I already recognise that number so will ignore them ;-)
Also have very large debts with Natwest and MBNA, what are these two like to deal with?0 -
Hello Everyone,
Not been on for a while have been working away like crazy, sometimes working 7 days to pull in some extra dosh... and it is paying off but, I am getting a bit tired to pulling back for a while just working my set hours for a while.
Have managed to reduce my debt a bit though as a result.
Hope everyone is doing ok, I have just completed my first review with CCCS, I am now reducing what I pay each month as our income has reduced and tax credits too, so our DFD has extended quite a lot, but we wil have paid off some other debts in about 12 mths meaning we can increase the payments again and reduce the DFD.
Its all so complicated. Wish I could just win the lottery and have a fresh start, don't want the £millions just £30k would do to clear everything.
Any how, have gone on a bit just wanted to share good news I have now cleared over £5,000 of by debt, cannot believe it.
Bye for nowCurrent Debt £16,364 about to settle following pension payout0 -
*sigh* another call from the Halifax - in fact, 2 so far today. One was on my mobile, at 9.05am, but I was sleepy and confused about where my phone was so missed the call. Then got one just now, so about 10.30. Girl said where she was calling from and that the calls were going to stop. So I said that was utterly pointless then, you've phoned me to say the calls are going to stop?! She said they would. I asked if they were actually, actually going to stop and she said they'd be stopped for 10 days, automated system, blah-di-blah. Funny that, cos the fella yesterday said the calls would be stopped for 10 days but I still got a 2nd call yesterday and 2 calls today. In reply to that, she said she was putting them on hold, but that I was scheduled for one at around 2pm, so would probably get that one. When I said "why am I getting these calls?", she hung up.
Oh deep joy. So I'm going to get hounded.Smober since 05/12/2008 :j

Are they actually allowed to call on a Sunday, aren't there rules over when they call? That's horrendous!0
-
I believe they are allowed to - well out of order, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are actually allowed to! Halifax are so stupid - they've already had to settle out of court over harassment, they're being sued about harassment and there's details being gathered about Halifax harassment to send to the FSA, and yet they still keep doing it. (can you tell I've been googling and reading up on this subject this morning! lol).
There have been members on here who have been hounded by them, despite requests to only communicate in writing, etc. It's so frustrating, because they went away very quietly when I started the DMP, but now 3 months are up, they think they can phone repeatedly! Pointless, utterly, utterly pointless!!Smober since 05/12/2008 :j
