  • thanks, MSC..just nosed at your post, saw Mint accepted the DMP, fingers crossed they do the same with me.
I've got, Barclays Loan, 2 x bank accounts overdrawn, AA loan, Littlewoods, Mint, Capital1, HFC loan (laptop),...think thats it!!!
Anyone have any experience with any of these ?

I'm doing a self-administered DMP and Capital One were the first to accept - they accepted payments for a year and dropped all charges and interest :T

  • Hi guys,

All my CC have stopped intrest without contacting me at all(no defaults, no calls...nothing). Taking this as a good sign as 1 year in, still not heard or got a problem with them. This includes MBNA and Barclaycard so it seems to be how they feel on the day, so whoever asked earlier...I would leave them lie if poss, cos they may say 6 months but I've heard nowt for 16!!

Really hope this helps put some minds at rest!!

I love this thread, it really helps me...thanks

    Hi all.
Can I ask what people's dealings have been with Natwest (currently known as "NastyWest" or NitwitWest" to me). They say they still haven't received any notification from the CCCS and are constantly pestering me with letters + phonecalls. CCCS have sent all the stuff off TWICE to them already so I really don't know what else to do!!

As far as I know they still haven't accepted mine (that was as of last week)! Them and Tesco card. But they have taken the money as i can still check online. But are still charging interest and charges!! Nastywest is indeed correct!!! ;)

Payplan told me it can take a while for some so try not to worry! Have you actually started yet? If so how long? CCCS will keep on trying!

I have three CC's with them and they were the 1st to accept DMP and stop all interest for the next year.

Typical though, they never seem to have a standard approach to helping people.

    Hi
I've had my first letter from MBNA (we have 3 cards with them) re one of my cards, the letter doesn't say yes and doesn;t say no to DMP, just tells me - thanke for your letter with I & E etc and to keep paying what I can afford even though under what I should be paying and to keep in touch if my circumstances change, is this them accepting it? Also, no mention of interest etc, will I just see this stop (if it's going to ) on my statements or did they write to you and say they would stop it.
Any advice gratefully rec'd. as MBNA on side would make my day!!
    MD xx
Finally brave enough to deal with my debts! :D

  • Just had my first call from a creditor - it was NA RE our loan we have with them. THis is our biggest debt at 13k and our payments should be £231 a month. The DMP payment is £46 a month and she called to say they they cant accept this.

She asked if we could pay more and i said no, she then said we would take our number off the phone list and not contact us again asking for money but I need to be aware that it will probably be passed on to a DCA.

She was very polite and not hard or aggressive at all.

Not all my creditors confirmed in writing they will stop interest, they just stopped charging it on my statements. Some of them still send me letters saying I'm behind in my payments but still don't charge me interest etc. Sounds promising to me though.

I have a loan and overdraft with Natwest and they have never stopped interest. The best I've had is that they don't charge me any overlimit charges now. They have also barred my online access. Grrr!

  • Hi All

I've been thinking - my credit rating is fine at the moment and I know it's going to be ruined when I start my DMP. I am renting at the moment, does this mean I won't be able to rent anywhere else or buy for the next 6 years??

    I appreciate your advice.

    Thanks
    Hx
