Hey everyone, hope your all well. Just a little update frm me. HBOS have accepted my dmp payment (yay!) for our loan, so thats 2 down and 3 to go! Think they may be assuming it starts this month and not may tho, so that should be an interesting phone call lol. Anyone dealt with blair oliver and scott at all? Think they are HBOS's in house guys. Its excellent to see even more newbies!

Hi CM
Can't you access your Sky account online and change your contact details, i.e delete your phone numbers? Don't know if it would work but it might be worth a try.
Sue.xx
I wish I could but they've shut down my online accessI'm not answering them and keeping a log of all calls at the moment so will give it a couple of days til they get the harassment letter and see what happens.
I've written to them 3 times since the beginning of February, explaining my circumstances and offering a temporary pro-rata payment but they haven't had the decency to reply. My OH, however, having sent the same letter, got a letter from them almost immediately saying they would allow him make an immediate payment of nearly £500 as "...a gesture of our commitment to helping you..."!!! There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to these people.
I know that they've received my letters and I have a comprehensive paper trail in case it gets as far as going to court. I feel confident that I've acted responsibly, so it's just a waiting game now.
Thanks for the advice though,

Yeh sure they will. MBNA may not even send it to a DCA. I had the same letter from CCCS in '07 when I first started saying that one of my creditors refused the payment as it was to low.. never heard anything more, and im still paying them the same payment now!
Most people find DCA's easier to deal with anyway, and to be honest, CCCS will deal with them for you, just notify CCCS that it has changed to the DCA if it happens and they will offer them the same payment.
Give it a few months mate and you'll be wondering why you were getting so worked up over it0 -
Awww thanks WM... you've made me feel more positive now.

Well it didn't take long for the phone calls to start. I haven't even started my DMP yet, just cancelled my direct debits. I'm going out of my mind, ring, ring, ring, ring............... :mad:Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0

It was the same here at the start, but has died down a bit now. Just do 1471 or even better if your phone like mine reveals who's calling and I just dont answer, as I found I was forever repeating myself and getting really annoyed with hearing the same stuff old stuff ie: pay us more money!!DMP Mutual Support Thread No 278

Thanks cheesypuff (love your name). Thankfully I have caller ID so just don't answer. It's unreal how many times a company calls in a day. These people must be robot's who work there. They don't even leave a message, just call, call, call!Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0

I know, I think I got about 10 one day from Sainsburys Bank. I am off worksick at the moment and a colleague texted me to say that HAlifax were ringing the office 3 times a day looking for me or my husband. Halifax arent even a creditor it was HBOS (sainsburys some under this). Imagine how embarrased I was, I had to make up an excuse that it was to do with a mortgage. I rang and made them take my work number off the computer. They dont give a damn though and they are like robots and some of them are so nasty you would think you owed them the money personally.DMP Mutual Support Thread No 278

Unplug your phone for the first few months if possible or change your number.
Stol: It is up and down at the start with the letters etc but trust me it does get soooooooooooooo much better.. I used to dread the postman coming but now I look forward to it. I was getting about 3 letters a week at the start, now im lucky if I get 1 every 4 months and when they do come they are only statements, not demands for money.
Spending time on this board definitely makes you wiser and stronger.0 -
I'm getting a million calls at work too, thankfully I have my own extension and have it on a silent ring but it still bugs the hell out of me! I'm just in the process of sending my DMP cover letters out with token payments, should I enclose a letter requesting they move all contact numbers especially work? I don't suppose they'll pay any attention to my request though :mad:Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0
