Lloyds loan - 5k - still charging interest, charges each month
Monument cc - 3k - offered £1.2k back for ppi but messing us around it seems

hello everyone its been a long time again

really sorry but ive got myself well in a different mindset from last year

now im challenging all my creditors, and hiya toffee penny wonder if you remember me??/

well, i got to your stage of offering payments and they still charging interest and the debt just grew and grew and the phone calls and letters were just so inconsitant that in the end it had made me so ill i decieded i was going to get my life back on my terms and not creditor terms

by the end of last year was requesting all cca's and sars info, slowly getting partial rubbish from most of them

my credit file is shot to peices, and it wont get any better and ive resigned myself to resolving this in the best way possible once i get proper executed agreements

out of 13 creditors i would say ive had 1 very clear legible with all the prescribed terms others have just hidden behind leglislation and tried to fob me off

keep focused on what you want to achieve, i have found a different world to creditors once you request your cca and sars info and its just scary, but im going to use the law of the consumer credit act 1974 to ensure i will not be fobbed off or lied to or intimidated anymore by any creditor. Show me the correct paperwork and i will show you my money is my mantra now:beer:

hope you get yourself sorted toffee penny and anyone else wants to have a chat let me know laters all maz x

Me and Oh have about 50K of debt between us:o, it was really really scary when we came to total it all up, as in how did THAT happen?
Genuinely I could not tell you what that money went on, how stupid is that, obviously towards the end when work situation went bad we came to rely on them for every day expenses but before that.............?
I've no idea how long it's going to take to pay it off, or to put it more accurately am trying to ignore it.
lets put it this way see you on here for some time to come:beer:

  • God you still here? :rotfl:

I know where you are coming from Maz honestly I do, I feel I have become obsessed with it all and I will be honest I get down about it, not so much about the money we had cause we have beat ourselves up about it enough already, going round in circles why we spent so much - whats done is done, no going back.

I want to fight the creditors because I know we have been mis-sold ppi and this had added to our total debt over the years. Interest? well we did spend the money and had no problem paying it back, well I'll rephrase that we didn't care cause we were in the !!!!! anyway but now we just want to pay back what we owe and be done with it.

No more stupid amounts of interest, no more silly charges just let us pay what we owe. What really annoys me is all the bull that you have to put up with whilst you are desperately trying to sort yourselves out, the DCA's with their threats, the creditors ignoring your letters....and the fact your debt gets sold on to a DCA for far less than what they would ever accept of you!

A few creditors have been very good from the start and I am wondering if it is all to do with the CCA and having the right paperwork. I couldn't care less leave me alone, stop adding things on the account and I'll be more inclined to pay more each month.

Why break your back to pay a massive amount to your DMP if creditors are still charging interest? This is the agruement I have with OH all the time. I get worried about it that we aren't paying enough and he just says 'sod it'!

I wonder if the government ring up the banks on a regular basis and try to bully them into paying more on their loans etc, after all they are the creditor of most of the banks now:rotfl:
How many times recently I have been SO tempted to bring that up when talking or writing to RBS etc:rolleyes:

  • cause before we came together for the joint dmp we were on/off/split up/back together, couldn't take the pressure of the debt, didn't know what to do, worried etc so the address is logged with creditors :o
