Actually, it will be us singing and dancing on the beach all day ... when we hit our DFD :j (although, I hasten to add, that wont be anytime soon  )

Still, never mind, in the meantime we have each other (awww!), loads of virtual parties to look forward to (which are free!), lots of  and, of course .... we have chocolate :D :EasterBun

just thought i would drop you all an update....so, after 4 hours and mountains of paper i have nearrly done it!!!
out all the token payments and DMO notices in envelopes (realised i still need to get 3 x £1 postal orders cos didnt buy enough..typical!!!), rooted out my loan agreements and put with statements from card companies ready to copy and post to CCCS, made a little note in my crappy debt notebook (soon to be debt solution notebook i hasten to add) that i need to get more postal orders, more envelopes (didn't buy enough of them either!!), wait for 2 x letters from bank advising account this much overdrawn to add to my need to copy statements pile.
i even decided then to go through all my old paperwork and old bills and they are now in a black bag ready to be shredded (dont have a shredder though so may have to borrow one).
now have a nice clean file folder ready for new paperwork, oh and a clean wallet cos dunoed all my no longer needed cards.
hurahhhhh there is light at the end of the tunnel, think i could even manage to answer the phone now to anyone that calls me so i can inform them a letter is on the way
did get a bit scared for a bit when i saw copies of scary letter people get posted on here but then though when that happens i can jump on here and ask for help.
    hurrahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I feel very organised now

Thanks to everyone on here for the help!!

    OMG! Just had a realisation.

Did all my token payments to CC,Loans and other BUT forgot to do my overdrafts I have 2 Barclays,1 HSBC and 2 Nationwide. My DMP starts 1st April so shall I just leave? Does it really matter or am I being dense?

    Arrrrrgh want to scream now.

To be honest, I only sent tokens to my credit cards, forgot to do my loan, overdrafts and HP. I think it helps if you can get tokens to them, but I guess it's not the end of the world?

    Hi Bex

Is your DMP with CCCS or PayPlan?
If it's CCCS then your payments will not be distributed to your creditors till the end of the month so it is probably worthwhile sending token payments for your ods too, if for no other reason than to show willing.
If it's PayPlan then I'm not sure.

    Have a good day smiley-char023.gif

Hi all, we are getting ready to enter in to a DMP, I've spoken to a couple of people, 1 a charity and 1 a private firm, I have arranged a phone call with Payplan for tomorrow (who incidently seem favourites) the private firm has told me to stop paying all of my creditors immediately, as this will endorse that I have a problem, would I be right doing this before my DMP is under way?
    Cheers

    Hi ricbro
As long as you have been approved for DMP by Payplan then you should stop paying your creditors straight away - any money you manage to save by doing this will be put to far better use in an emergency fund which you may well need somewhere down the line. Not paying this month shouldn't impact too much on your DFD.
Also, make sure you get a new bank account asap.;)

P.s ricbro, please don't consider going with a company you have to pay, the charities do just as good a job and the extra money could be going towards your debts.

    Hello,

Myself and the good lady are embarking on a DMP with Payplan. We have roughly 33.5K of unsecured debt with a range of folk and I was wondering from your experiences which of the following creditors are evil personified:

    1. RBS Loan 2. RBS O/D 3. COOP Loan 4. COOP O/D 5. Vanquis CC 6. Aqua CC 7. Capital One CC 8. Lloyds TSB CC 9. RBS CC 10. Egg CC

As my JSA stopped recently, the only income we have is approx 1600 english pounds and our proposed repayment is 322 english. Is this likely to suffice?

I am concerned by the additional charges going forward as to see some light at the end of the tunnel....

One more quick question, we're leaving our current account as my wife's salary will be paid into a new one on the 31st March but are currently living on the overdraft. Will this cause any issue for the DMP with regard to that specific creditor?

    Thanks for any advice

TSB tend not to tell you when you are no longer on an arrangement with them!!! Each last for 6 months I find every 6 months I start getting calls.

Only today having phoned them up have I realised this, they wanted to set me up with a plan so I told them I was on one, they could see the money coming in so just put me back on
