Afternoon all
Happy Birthday, Bargainbird
Mummysaver, Slumpie is minced beef cooked in beer with mushrooms & spinach, not sure what it wil taste like but it smells yummy, it's from the Nanny Ogg cookbook, but that will mean nothing to anyone unles they are a Terry Pratchett fan.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester

Good evening all:D
Well I survived Lunch club:T Mind you came home, sat down with a cup of tea DH made me, and woke up 40 minutes later when it was stone cold:o :rotfl: I'm developing a lovely cold, did you send yours up the road from North Kent Jackie?:p Managed to ignore it all day, but now I'm sneezing for England. DH is so looking forward to sharing a 200+ mile journey with me tomorrow:D Anyway they all seemed to enjoy their Christmas lunch. It's very humbling when you realise for a few this truly was their Christmas lunch, they won't share a festive meal with anyone again this year. Makes you realise just how blessed you are:o
Mioliere, that is the most wonderful news:T Her parents will have the best present of all to have her home for Christmas. What a lovely image for us all to share.
I have read the thread but my fuzzy brain didn't retain very much. Sorry if I've missed anything important. I'm away for a couple of days from tomorrow, and won't have any internet access. Will try to catch up first thing, otherwise see you all late Saturday. My OS for the next couple of days will be cleaning Dad's house from top to bottom and going through a couple of months paperwork. The high life is no mystery to me:rolleyes: :rotfl:
Hope you've had a good birthday Bargainbird.:bdaycake:
And thanks for the welcome backs, much appreciated:DCM x

Dear heart is going out tomorrow night to a rather expensive hotel, to the 'works do'.
He asked me about his green shirt with patches on the front. Not only did I (eventually) find out that it was a GREY shirt but also it has PLEATS on the front. And it is short sleeved and linen.
I made him go and buy a new one as there was no shirt that I could think of that he had that would do.
He came back with the perfect shirt, so it just shows.
Hester - please let me know how the slumpie goes, as I am very interested. Terry Pratchett is wonderful!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
