i too live in one of those estates i had no choice i was homeless! im not scared here. theres no kids wandering about at night coz theyre contained on teh park nearby. i dont mind living here at all and even though there is some litter on teh streets etc. inside my flat is lovely

i woke up last night in tears and luckily my fella was there (he stays over on friday and saturday coz im not ready to share full time yet!) coz of what ianian99 said about me. i hope that he knows how bad he makes people feel and one day someone makes him feel so bad.
I think you've just got to take a forum for what it is, a forum.
People don't know you, and can't make judgements on who you are, why you are off work etc etc.
They will, because it makes them feel good. I prefer to take people as they come.
I appreciate the government want the blaggers off of benefits, but they go about things the wrong way.
I'm sick and tired of hearing about how they want to help sick people back to work, yet they just make the vulnerable people panic even more.
The world is all about money. I understand where the government come from, con artists are everywhere, this forum is all about tackling the thieves from the big companies and saving our money from going into fat cats pockets.
I just feel there is a better way, because one day, they are going to say to the wrong person 'you're fit for work', when they aren't, and that person will just give up.0 -

This is the problem, they say they want to help, but then a benefit letter comes through "If you don't do this, that and the other, you will lose your benefit" and most of the staff are miserable as sin.
Or maybe that's just because I come from a rough estate :rotfl:0 -

I will not lower myself to answer an accusation of racial prejudice, instead I will report your post to the abuse team.0 -

The important thing is "when you are ready"
Don't rush yourself
And ignore the people on here that have a go.......don't worry about them, who are they anyway?
I'm going to ignore their posts :j and just laugh at their oldness :rotfl:0 -

Just don't worry, I'm the one who has been complained about for accusations of predjudice.....the post after I was accused of being predjudiced.
Just get better soon and have a good week. It's a shame a couple of people used my assessment thread to have a go at us.0 -
SSP £56 per week if anybody wants a week off work(first week self cert)krisskross wrote:I stuck it out until I was 59 then retired on a half decent pesion.
£56 a week?? Where does that come from? My husband claimed Incapacity benefit and the weekly amount was a lot nearer £80. He would also have been a shoo in for DLA, both components, which no doubt would have increased his income considerably but he didn't want to claim.
We were not entitled to help with housing costs I don't think because I was working full time, but if needed that would take the amount to an income well above £56.Child of a Fighting Race.0 -

I apologise then if you are trying to live on just £56 a week, are you not entitled to anything else?0 -
i humbly appolagise SSP is £68 .20 not £56, aweek what you claim all depends on your personal circumstances and how much money you have comming into the house. afer you have been on SSP for a set length of time you can then claim IB.krisskross wrote:I apologise then if you are trying to live on just £56 a week, are you not entitled to anything else?
My post if you recall, was about a person feeling unwell after working 12 hour.
My advice was to see a doctor or take a week of work and claim his SSP.
again i must appolagise for the wrong info, i am having chemo at the moment
and i did not check my facts.SORRYChild of a Fighting Race.0 -
