But back to the original point........

I got my response in the post this morning.........I passed.

I still don't know how he worked out either way from a small consultation, but hey, they are overpaid and underworked, maybe they should offer some of their salary, as they do very little.

Some of the 'accusations' on here are a load of old cobblers.

I wouldn't dream of questioning someone's health, even with the facts.

I don't know what it's like to have Irritable Bowels Syndrome for example, so I couldn't even guess what it's like. Unless you have something, you can't begin to know what it's like, and even if you did, there are varying degrees of every 'illness'.

To some people, if it's not visible, you manage to smile sometimes, and even manage to enjoy yourself once in while, then you are okay which is wrong.

I believe in Karma though, so anybody who doubts anybody, is likely to pick up an illness later in life, and nobody will understand and will show ignorance towards it.

So the best thing is to worry about your own life and not anybody elses, because people don't always know the facts, and prefer to live in their own fantasy world, where they always know best.

Good Luck to anyone here who has a medical anytime soon :j

Miroslav your comments brought to mind something that happened to a friend of mine yesterday. She is disabled and though she works has to take a bus and a train to get to her job (with the government!!), and she has particular difficulty walking especially going downstairs.

As she was going down the stairs at the train station, she has to hold on to the rails and take it slowly, some ****hole said to her "Are you planning to take all day to get down these stairs!!! I have a train to catch". This from someone ablebodied who could have just moved over and past her!!

She explained to him her difficulty but he had no sympathy whatsoever. I said she should have said "You wait, what goes round, comes round". We laughed as I wished instant impotence on him! Joking slightly - we are not malevelent people but how insensitive could a man be???????????

Sadly, a small minoirty of people are too ignorant to see past their own nose, but one day, when they need empathy or understanding, those same people will get a similar response from people who know what they are like.

I remember, I think it was 1994, Christian Panucci, an Italian footballer, was in a rush to catch a plane, but forgot something and missed the flight. I remember he was furious, and had to wait until the next flight.

The original flight crashed (or blew up?) and killed all on board.

This rude chap should hear that story, and realise his train may one day be the least of his worries.

:T Glad to hear your news Miroslav.I am pleased for you.The system does seem to work sometimes!! I still think its unfair as it seems people like yourself with nothing to hide are the ones involved in the witchunt.
Freebie I'm actually a Daily Mail reader LOL...I have read some of the best pieces to do with my sons disabilities in there too,it's not all bad.One of their writers has a profoundly disabled child (Sam Metcalfe think her name is) and she writes superbly.Actually brought me to tears one piece she wrote. To whoever wrote it I actually live on one of those 'scuzzy sink estates' too..not through choice we lost our home due to our sons disabilities...I couldn't continue working (I earned more than hubby)and there was no help available to us back then, please don't tar us all with the same brush! Some of us are law abiding decent souls. In fact our estate has one of THE worst names but a good chunk of the people on here are lovely,we can leave our doors open, windows unlocked, you always have someone to share a problem with and there is always someone who will help you out. When I had my last child came home to dinner cooked by a kind neighbour, boys all bathed and fed..When I had chickenpox, friends from the school took the kids in.It's not always as bad as people say.We still have the 'feral youths' and drugs problems but doesn't everyone everywhere??

    I agree to a point.

How about cutting spending on asylum seekers?

Miroslav I am happy you got the result you wanted from your assessment but must take issue with you on the asylum seekers payments.

Please be more charitable...you have been feeling almost persecuted about your sickness claim.....perhaps you can realise how these truly persecuted desperate people feel.

I know there will be false claimants among them but should we be then dismissing them all?

We are told there is £7billion a year lost in benefit fraud so are all benefit claimants fraudsters?

Yes of course if you feel ill after a days work, go to the doctors, its only prudent, and if the doctor says you are ill he will give you the appropriate advice and you too can claim your £56 per week.
I myself worked 10years 12 hours nights/days solid and that is one of the reasons i am disabled now.
in all that time i never even looked at a tv screen (not even on my one day off) this is illegal now under the E.E. work/time directive
BE very careful the average life expectancy for shift workers is little over 60 years, you would not want to get ill now and live on a pitance (would you.)
I started work at 14 on the trawler's and worked till i was 45 i have no problem claiming mY IB.

I stuck it out until I was 59 then retired on a half decent pesion.

£56 a week?? Where does that come from? My husband claimed Incapacity benefit and the weekly amount was a lot nearer £80. He would also have been a shoo in for DLA, both components, which no doubt would have increased his income considerably but he didn't want to claim.
We were not entitled to help with housing costs I don't think because I was working full time, but if needed that would take the amount to an income well above £56.

i dont think youd find many gypsies who like teh daily mail! but im glad you can get some info from it.

i too live in one of those estates i had no choice i was homeless! im not scared here. theres no kids wandering about at night coz theyre contained on teh park nearby. i dont mind living here at all and even though there is some litter on teh streets etc. inside my flat is lovely :)

    :)

i woke up last night in tears and luckily my fella was there (he stays over on friday and saturday coz im not ready to share full time yet!) coz of what ianian99 said about me. i hope that he knows how bad he makes people feel and one day someone makes him feel so bad. :(
