Hang in there, CCStar. Wish I could help but virtual hugs is all I can offer.

I know some people don't like it but I really wish it would get colder and icy and even snow. Its more Christmassy than mild weather.

AB, we've seen a lot of car park rage in the past few weeks as everyone fights for spaces! Some people are awful. My sister-in-law and I just try to relax and find a space when one becomes available. Its why I like to get my Christmas shopping done early before everyone else!
    Thank you

My OH had to bank a cheque today and is doing the shopping - it sounds horrendous out there. Payback for him being a twonk to me this morning:D

Bl**dy doctors of our son's stressing us. He needs a sick note from them to get time off till the new year and OH was going to collect it today and give to work but the effing quacks has lost his details so our son needs to see them to get the note now, then he has to hand it into his work and my OH is taking my mother out Christmas shopping.

We are having Christmas at our sons, he has a better cooker. My cooking has been really crap since we moved here coz we have a horrible cooker. It is more central for everyone as well and we should be able to have a walk by the beach if the weather is nice.

We have all kinds of stuff to take to our son's, food and booze and odds and ends. We are going to see our OH family on Friday. Saturday resting, then seeing my mother and her friends on Sunday. After that should be quiet.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

I really envy anyone who lives near the beach, CCStar. I live in the Midlands and so am nowhere near. We used to have a holiday chalet near Yarmouth and went at all times of the year. One time we went in March and were snowed in. It was lovely! I sometimes wish we still had it. My dogs would love it too.

I have wondered if I am noticing that a lot of people who I wouldnt normally associate with being depressed seem to be exhibiting signs of depression lately. Especially irritability and anxiety.

It might just be the long winter and the dark dark evenings, but I'm wondering if the constant slew of negative news isnt bringing peoples heads down a bit, regardless of their own circumstances.

Personally I'm in a good position as me and Mrs Toast are both reasonably securely employed, without debts, have a baby on the way, and now actually have a chance of buying a place. Thankfully no family or friends are affected either by joblosses (though sister in law had a narrow escape from Woolies head office). I should be happy and feeling lucky.

I have started to feel quite down however, which isnt terribly unusual for me as I suffer from depression on and off, always have, and probably always will.

    But how about you?

    Hi,

In the interest of keeping boards running on-topic, I'm moving this to the MoneySaving in Marriages, Relationships & Families board where there is a support thread.
The support thread is on the Health Board so I'll merge it in there.

*feelings of awe come over her*

    Pan's Labyrinth....amazing film....tis a must see I tell you, a must see!
The soundtrack is so beautiful too. *happy cry*
Ooo and if anyone gets a chance to watch "The Fountain", that's a great film too.
It's Sam's fault. Lol. He's got me into fantasy's now - well, more so than I was before.
Ooo and I just watched "The Family Stone" which had me in stitches. XD

    So, how are we all?
I'm struggling abit, as always at this time of year, but I'm saving face and am able to hide it well at the moment. Yes, I know I most likely shoudln't but I'm going to.
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate Xmas but I don't exactly love it either. Maybe I will when I have kids. All my Xmases have been bad to be honest, so I'm sure that has aided my view on it somewhat.

7 days until I go to Sam's and I'm excited but so nervous too. I was telling Sam's dad that he might come to think of me as completely crazy in time but that it adds to my uniqueness and he said that he'd be disappointed if I were 95% crazy and that I should go for 110%! :rotfl:
Sam's dad and I talk through deviantART as he is a photographer like me. I'm still nervous though but Sam said that his dad invited me for Xmas so I'm guessing that means he likes me right? And his mum invited me for New Year, but I haven't met her yet.

I can't wait to move down there to be honest. This year has been horrible and the sooner it's over the better, in my opinion.
Next year will be much better and I will make sure it is. I will be around people who want me - people who love me for who I am, and not who they want me to be.
2009 will be my year, and if it isn't, I want a refund on this so called life! :rotfl:
