It loads it as a POI (Point Of Interest) you just set it up for show on route or in vicinity.
Voices seem to be readily available for tomtom...not sure on the medion software...again try http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ for info
Thanks
Has anyone got it up and running on the PDA as I cannot see which files to put accross to the pda and where to copy the files to on the PDA0 -

Don't knock it - I bet they use highly trained technicians ! :rotfl:
After all these posts I think I should have stuck with the i3 - very simple to use - works straight out of the box. Having given it some thought I should have taken it back to the Somerfield which has them at £149 for an exchange - Time for a ruck methinks :rolleyes:0 -
For those of us with the PDA, I found the latest version of the Navigon Navigator Software (v5.2)
Download it from here
EDIT: Warning! There does not seem to be a way to activate the upgrade as it requires a serial number. This space for rent0 -

Works fine for me!
Hi Steve
I downloaded the update, unzipped and copied the MN52_Update_2003.cab file to the SD card on the Mio but when I execute it I get the message 'The file \windows\MNavToday.dll is in use or in rom. If the file is not in rom please close the application using the file'.
I have checked and the only app running is file explorer.
Help.
Thanks
Haymish
P.S. Have you installed the firmware update on https://www.medion.co.uk yet?0 -
Did you read the instructions in the ZIP file?
you have to uninstall the original version first!
and why would you want to download the new firmware........if it aint broke dont fix it.......oh and many thanks to OP, i grabbed one yesterday and gave it a rigorous testing today (the pda), worked perfectly:jThe early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.0 -

I was talking about the MD PPC150 PDA.
There is an update on the medion site but I have not checked to see if it is newer than the version on the device. Are they the same then? I haven't been able to find the firmware revision on the device yet.
Cheers

Yep, the firmware for the MDPPC150 is for the GPS receiver firmware and it matches what is already there. You're of course welcome to try for yourself - you never know, you might get different results!
When you run the firmware update it says "Current firmware version : x.x.x.x The new version after upgrade : x.x.x.x" On mine, both were ver 2.4.13.03.10This space for rent0 -

OK I have managed to install the newer version now but I can't use it without an activation code. Did you go through the registration process at the NAVIGON site to get an activation code?
They ask for a device id and a serial code.
I have the device ID but I'm having trouble locating the 15 digit serial code. I tried the 12 digit licence number printed on the CD sleeve but it does not accept that. Would you let me know where the serial ID is located.
Many thanks

Hmmm no I wasn't asked for an activation code at all. I just installed it and ran it. I have temporarily removed the maps from my SD card though so haven't tested beyond the "You have no maps installed" errorhaymishpupkin2 wrote:They ask for a device id and a serial code.

Hmm the CD sleeve is what I would have guessed at as well! I'll install the maps in a bit and see if it still works fully! This space for rent0
