  • I love your take on your dog - misguided in her ideas sometimes:rotfl: Wonderful!

Hopefully the electrician can work some magic in your kitchen. 2 of my rings don't work on the cooker and I need a lighter to light things and that drives me up the pole so I can imagine how it feels to have no oven.

Here's to Sunday bringing something nice to us all.

I've had a duvet day for most of the day (hiding from the world and the dog aas I don't want so scare anyone with the massive crop of cold sores that are cursing me at the moment) but the sparky has just been round and is coming back tomorrow to sort the electrics. Woohooo!!!! And my dad is paying for it. Double Woohoooo!!!!!

Also, just checked my bank account and it's showing 2 credits for tomorrow - one for £800 travel expenses and another £100 from the council for council tax that I was in credit by when my ex left. Brilliant news on both counts. Only downside is that I needn't bother applying to the discretionary fund now as I doubt they'll touch me when I've got an overdraft facility that isn't maxed out.

  • I had a duvet day too today, well still in my jammies anyway. I've done some batch cooking (101 things with mince my specialty) and I've had a tidy of the freezer. Oh how high I fly these days:p

Good news you've some funds coming in though. You got plans for the money or will you see how it all pans out?

  • The only reason youve not maxed out is that you now have money coming in and its financial hardship thats the issue so apply away I would - nothing to loose...great re keeping the hound...was worried bout that. I know they cost and can be interesting (alfie chased an empty egg cup round the sitting room before eaing it...nutter cat but sooooo cute!!) and great that pania will assist - she loves that dont ya p! Anyway, keep up the good work and pace yourself me lovely...gently does it!

Can you tell I'm pleased? Haven't actually got the car booked in yet as I need to call to arrange it at a time when I'm not on placement but it should be relatively soon.

It was the first day of my placement today and it went ok, even with the world's biggest cold sore on the end of my nose making me feel like some kind of freak! I particularly liked it when one child asked me why I had snot on my nose. Lovely!

Anyway, it's been a good day all in all. My dog has been lovely. I took her for a walk earlier and she was fantastic at staying to heel and sitting at the kerbs. So glad I reconsidered. I love her to bits and would miss her so much. She's crashed out on her duvet right now and looks totally content.

Evening. Its been another pretty good day. I used my oven tonight for the first time - supermarket pizza has never tasted so good!

Day didn't start well though. On my way to placement this morning some idiot clipped my car then kept going. It was in a traffic calmed area, at one of those bits with the island that stretches into the middle of the road. I had priority but the !!!!!! kept coming anyway. I had to slam on the brakes (and the horn) and swerve to the side otherwise it would have been much worse. At least it was just my wing mirror. I pulled over then looked in my mirror to find that he had driven off. Grrrr! Left me a bit shaken but I just had to get on with it. Think my car is jinxed at the moment!
