I'm pretty certain I got the questions 100% correct, it wasn't asking me anything I wasn't sure of - just the credit limits and balances of two of my credit cards.
I think there is a FLAW in their questions.
They asked me about my LATEST credit card statement.
I had Januarys but a recent Experian credit report showed November.
Note that credit reports are not bang up to date.
I think it's possible to answer the questions accurately and still get them "wrong" because Experian data is not totally up to date.
This is a flaw in the question in my view and a reason why so many people are failing.
(I failed too because my credit report was not bang up to date).0 -
After spotting the offer on money tips, I immediately applied on line.
I had an email after a few days advising that due to demand it may take longer than expected to complete my application.
I have now received all the info and my account is now open with the first £1000 on its way to it.
This must be the easiet £100 I have earnt - my husband is upset as he was too slow and missed out.

hi dan29,
i 'finalised' my application in local branch. they didn't confirm then that it would qualify for £100, and during several calls to barclays i got different stories. so i made a complaint and i now have written confirmation that i (and wife(same story)) will qualify so long as 2 times £1000 deposits, first of which are in.hope this gives hope.

Although Barclay's have come in for some stick for the way in which they have handled this situation, it is but nothing compared to the manner in which the HSBC have handled my application for their 10 month 0% mastercard offer. It's now been over two months since I applied for that, and I don't seem to be any closer to getting my mitts on iti!?
Barclay's for me redeemed themselves last Saturday in the manner in which their staff in my local branch administered the ID check that so many had to
complete. A really positive experience with a helpful member of staff can do wonders for a Bank's reputation in my eyes.
Now a week later with a Barclay's cheque book in my hand and my second deposit of £500 poised for tomorrow, I feel almosy guilty to be taking their
£100. Okay don't count your chickens I know what you're saying.
But when it comes to the HSBC, all I'm thinking is how to stooze these jokers every which way.
Best of luck to all fellow MSE'RS0 -
