Same here except I didn't get a copy of the form. How come some people aren't even being asked for ID? Anyway I went into the branch and they didn't know anything about the online offer and said none of my details were showing up and I'd have to go through the whole application process in the bank (takes an hour, they wanted me to make an appointment). They also said I wouldn't get the £100 this way.
Will have to try ringing the numbers posted tomorrow and see what they say. I'm not hopeful of getting £100 out of this, it's looking like too much hassle already and after the 8 month pain of A&L referral bonus I'm not sure I can be bothered.
PS Hope someone kept a copy of the original page of the offer and T&Cs now that it has been withdrawn?0 -

1. They answered the Equifax questions 100% accurately, and
2. There was sufficient existing information gained from the credit search, eg electoral roll confirmation etc.0 -
As Yorkshireboy suggests it most probably because you answered the Equifax questions incorrectly.
I wasn't requested to supply additional ID with my application as I answered the questions 100% accurately having obtained my credit report before completing the application.0 -
I'm pretty certain I got the questions 100% correct, it wasn't asking me anything I wasn't sure of - just the credit limits and balances of two of my credit cards. Anyway, we'll see what they have to say, I don't mind providing the ID, but I don't see why I have to go through the application process again as the branch suggests.0

Today I got a reply from Barclays, dated 17th Jan. Did anyone else get anything similar to this.
Unfortunately we are unable to process this application because we do not have all the information that we need. Then it goes on to chat about money laundering. They ask me to go into branch with ID. And ends with once we have seen tgese document, we will be able to complete the final process of your application.
OH got a letter confirming acceptance of his application, although he was also asked to go into branch with ID.
Any views on this would be welcome, although letter to me is dated 17th before they pulled the plug on the £100 offer they have still not actually said I can have the account.0 -

My girlfriend took her two forms of ID in yesterday and was told she'd have to make an appointment for next week as it would take half an hour to complete the application process. Has anyone done this yet and if so did they confirm it still counts as an "online" application?.0 -
Question?
Does this offer technically mean say you could put £1000 in on 31st Jan and £1000 on 1st Feb? As this is two consecutive months.

Applied online, printed off terms and conditions in case i forgot.
3 days nothing.
Then email saying may take 10 days.
15 days later i get a letter, we need to confirm your current address and identity.
Note- I answered all the questions correct on the equifax section BUT have moved house recently.
Go to Barclays today, with the relevant ID and they have no record of my application details on the system. Strange as i have a letter and emails from them, confirming an application.(had letter on me)
The member of staff inputted all my details again and Barclays accepted my details. (my concern - is this a new application - hence no £100)
I have done all they have asked (as far as APPLYING) , any problems are their end, so i will hold out for the £100.
Gonna write to the address on my latest letter for an explanation.0 -
I applied on line for this incentive. Was told on screen that they would get back to me within 2 weeks. On Tuesday 24th January I received the following email.
Thank you for applying for a current account with Barclays. Due to popular demand your application may take a little longer to be processed than we anticipated. I apologise for this and we will be in contact with you within 10 days to let you know the outcome of your application.
Thank you for choosing Barclays.
Yours sincerely,

I received a letter dated 29th Jan, requesting that I go to a local branch to produce 2 forms of ID. Did this today (been on hols). The Personal Banking Advisor spent some considerable time on the phone to various departments attempting to reassure me that I would still receive the incentive. She seemed to get confirmation eventually that if I had applied during the qualifying time (which I had) I would receive the £100. On the strength of that I opened account anyway. So I suppose its a case of 'watch this space'.
Incidentally, as I was about to leave the Personal Banker's desk when we overheard a young man at the next desk asking the very same questions I had!!Irene0
