    See Martin's article

Check on one or more of the cashback sites whether there's any offer for credit reports

I registered with greasypalm http://www.greasypalm.co.uk they give you 2.50 cashback for this, then when you are reg with them click on their fastcash tab and credit expert free trial is listed for Experian. You also get another 2.50 cashback for this. (they only send a cheque to you when this reaches 15 pounds.) then click on other cash back offers if you like. I'm renewing with AA car insurance so get 30 pounds for this as well for clicking from their link.

But be warned I have just cancelled after checking my file with Experian and they have said they will deal with it within 8 days so leave plenty of time to cancel your 30 day trial, otherwise i'm not sure what happens. I cancelled after a week.

If I used a cashback site, Greasypalm wouldn't be my first choice. Others (Quidco, TCB, Rpoints) pay much better rates. Though you need to read the T&Cs on min payouts etc

There are problems with the Barclays website - it keeps going back to step one during the application process!

It also asked me for the name of the second account holder even though I clearly told it there would only be one account holder.

From another thread it seems that some people finding it difficult to access the relevant page - here is a link that gets you to page 1 of the application - hope this works!!

Just noticed this post by Paul Varjak on another thread:
The online application process for this offer is not currently working. Barclays tell me they are aware of the problem.

Do not be tempted into applying over the phone or at a branch as the £100 cashback does not then apply.
