Soappie - thanks for mentioning mags - every year I get out old copies of country living and homes and gardens from when I used to subscribe and look at the christmasey ones - they are as relevant now as when published you just can't purchase any of the stuff in them so very moneysaving.

Pots parboiling, kids playing, hubbie fixing something, all is well.

In my slightly longer than HHC, I managed to wash the windows in the bedroom, landing and front room, and wipe the paintwork up the stairs and in my bedroom. The living floor is an ongoing project :o which won't get done today, but I may well do HHI later on.

Towels moved from WM to dryer... all veggies left in house chopped up and roasting ready to freeze. Trying to think of things to do to put off ironing for a bit longer :o as it turns out the two shirts downstairs are nearly dry, so I have 4 to do, and 2 duvet covers.

Don't really feel like putting clothes away in the bedroom, but I suppose I should...

... but I've just remembered I've got 2 lots of end of year feedback to do first!

mumoffour77 - laughed at your description of your journey, yep, been there, done thatr! They'll be fine at the hospital, and take it out on you on the way home, just you wait and see.;) Thank you for your card!

    Waves and hugs to everyone!

Been really busy this weekend. We went over to see Mum yesterday, and her face lit up when we all arrived, and she actually smiled which is the first time in months! We only stayed an hour or so, as it can be a bit overwhelming with all of us. The, over to my sister's and had a chinese before coming home quite late. Very slow start this morning, but had to do coffees after church, so just had to get up.

We've all spent the afternoon blitzing the livingroom, and the teens have been brilliant and put up the tree (with minimum violence on my part). We are ready for Christmas! Now I'm off to the carol service, which is when I always feel my Christmas begins. See you later!!

ps very best wishes for your move emily, and Happy Christams in your lovely new home!

pps what rubbish typing - sorry!

    LOL

DD has returned from her dads and has just asked, in that wheedling voice we all have, if we can go to town tomorrow. She was clearly prepared for a long begging session, argument prepared but totally thrown when I said 'yes'. I have already realised I will be going out again tomorrow (but I will deviously park near town and walk up).
One of the things I have to do is take the (drinking) glasses in that I have decided I don't want.
I now have a bag of socks and bras from her to throw, too. Sally Army 'skip' for them methinks.
One reason she needs to go to town is to buy for the gerbils and the cat! Told her to hush as they'll hear her :rotfl:
