I'll sort of join you holly...the children have done fairly well in the lounge so I'm going to call them down to help with the last few bits and to vacuum, then all the decorations and lights need to be taken off the old tree and put on the new tree! I also need to go around the house and collect all the decorations the DD2 has been taking off and scattering ;) I really want to put some presents around the bottom but I'm worried about DD2 helping herself!

Only 2 shirts and two duvet covers left to iron (not counting the two shirts still drying downstairs), but I think I'm going to take a break for a bit and visit the kitchen...

Woohoo - all kids presents wrapped! Just a couple left to wrap for friends but I'll do that tomorrow. Good news is I only have one more thing to buy present wise and I can get that from just up the road.

Chicken's just gone in the oven. I've just poured an early G&T and am going to put my feet up with a magazine for half an hour.

I'm back, still feeling rough though! Now if it was a hangover from last night I'm sure it would have gone by now wouldn't it?

Decorated new tree which looks rather fine :D Poor old tree is looking a bit threadbare after about 7 or 8 years of use between us and my parents. When Mr G finishes work at 5.30 we'll be off to my parents for tea.

cheers, soappie, i'm just finishing g&t here too...

ended up going to town, got two present plus a big clarins prezzie for myself ;) not cheap but i love it and thanks to points deals includins Dusty's I got over £20 back in points :) My mum is getting me some for Christmas/my birthday which should now see me through until 2010!! Also got a few useful bits in poundland - batteries, tubs for homemade prezzies etc. Then went on a wild goose chase bus ride to tesco ,looking for kaluha which DH was desperate for to make white russian cocktails...they had none so I eventually got some at the spar 20m away from my front door!!

DH did a couple of jobs off my list when I was out, after our early dinner we're off the the carol service and then possibly the pub (depending on who else is going!), if not back here to chill so the rest of the flying can wait til tomorrow.

lil_me - i have the stuff reserved at argos so should be ok, if not i'll brave hamleys!
mudbath - my mum happens to be one of the country's experts on wounds. If it doesn't improve soon pm me, she can probably help if you can photograph it (seriously - she's amazing!). I'd give firefox a try anyway, it's much better and you can make the buttons into pretty shapes etc too!!
sexy - lol@ cats giving presents. I saw pet cards today in town!

right, better go and see what DH is up to, dinner must be nearly done....better sort veg and gravy.
Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j
