No what is sad is that the staff feel they are above criticism when clearly criticism is due, what is even sadder is that they think they can come here and reprimand those that dare to question their busines practice and goods, the posts thus far have done them more harm than good in displaying the mentality behind the company's representatives.
Whats sadder is people who just slag off companies because they dont like their products (or the way they grossly inflate the rrps even though the rrp quoted can be found on the net at other stores). Companies and retailers have always done this. Do you go to poundland and slag them of for selling a lower quality item for £1.00 and stating its worth £10.00 when really it isn't? Do you stand out side SCS with a megafone slaging of the company because they are having yet another sale and never sold the item for the original price in the first place (apart from 1 store in London). Do you really think that if you are buying an item or box of items for such a low price, you are going to get high priced items? Give them a break, most people know its not worth the overall price they state "you could save" and are happy because they feel or know that what they are buying is quite cheap compared to other places, quite easy to get, rather than searching all over the place to get the stocking fillers or jokey gifts cheaper. I have bought the the latest £10.00 deal and the last but one £20.00 deal. I am happy with it, I know they are not worth hundreds and know that I can give items away for Christmas or charity shop.if i had known then what i know now0 -
You've got a good idea of what you're buying into to be fair - there's a list of what you might get, and they made it clear it's all old stock.
I bought the photo keyring from a previous deal, and I can't knock the speed of delivery. I watch Grabitnow and Boffer simply because at some point there will be a deal I feel is worth parting with my cash for.
It's not like they slaughter kittens live on the net or anything - save your wrath for companies who really do deserve it (like the dodgy loan companies who got some of the DFWs into trouble).Sealed Pot Challenge number 298, up yours HSBC!0 -

We are not in poundland or SCS, we are discussing a promotion by the company concerned and advising those who may be viewing the thread that this deal is not only short of it's claims but, at best not a deal at all and at worst a downright waste of money, people view mse for exactly this kind of information, often deals are posted and often they are not deals, this is one such case, I'm glad you are happy with your purchase perhaps you may like to go to their website and add to their glowing testimonial page?
No I don't.
If most people know then what is the harm in informing the remainder who don't?
Personally I think it's very generous of you to be so understanding of a company you clearly accept is misleading you as a customer.
For those that have purchased from them and are hapy then all is good, for those that have not yet purchased and are expecting to be happy then a little warning to the effect that this particular deal is not going to make them euphoric could be a welcome timely tip off.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I'm with Ben on this.
This place some days goes 3 ways. I'm trying to be nice. It's hard!
Example 1. Someone puts up an offer. Someone else suggests that the offer isn't that good and perhaps sounds better than it really is. Then a pile of do-gooders (and in this case the company) decide that the person who makes the criticism is a scoundrel and an infidel and therefore deserves to be sent to hell!
Shame on you. The guy was trying to offer independent advice based on experience. As for Grabitnow, it's not a company I will deal with. Their customer service obviously sucks and they need to see how people like BigPockets have big shoulders (and learn from the experience)
Example 2. Someone puts up a pile of bargains because someone is going bust. Rather than discuss the merits of the bargains, the %es and what is and isn't included, it ends up in a discussion about how sad it is that 1700 people may or may not lose their jobs. The fact that 100,000 people have lost their jobs over the previous month (including a higher percentage of family breadwinners is irrelevant).
Example 3. Someone puts up a "Wanted" in the grabitnow and the first poster politely says that this may not be the correct place. Cue the keyboard warriors who come on with the "Stop having a go at the OP! They are entitled to post wherever they like"
And so the demise of the Grabit forum (as have a few other bargain forums over the years for the same reason)
Come on guys - how about we go back to the original idea -
Someone posts a bargain
Other people comment on the company (i.e. how reliable they are, how good previous bargains have or have not been), other places that have similar deals (or cheaper) and so on rather than the petty political place this is becoming. The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

Grabitnow_Office wrote: »Thanks alot for all the positive posts, and goodness me, as for the rest...of course Grabitnow are going to defend ourselves. I think we offer amazing daily deals and a fantastic customer service. We are very very proud of grabitnow and we do not have to accept or ignore forum critism from posters' that keep hurling rude insults to us and those who shop with grabitnow on a regular basis. It is so easy to be rude and judgemental on an annonymous forum and it would seem to many on this forum that a deal is only acceptable if it is handed to you for Free or given to you in a competition. It is a shame that some of you find it so hard to be nice
You keep saying you are ready to defend yourselves yet still have not answered the one single question I posed you,
How do you justify the astonishingly unrealistic rrp's you claim, what are they based on for example?
I note again you deflect to your customer base in an effort to have them rally around in your support though, this is an interesting technique, even if it is doomed to failure, any criticism of your company or it's products is just that, no more, and for you to imply it is a slur or insult to your client base says more about you as an organisation than those who may be offering critique.

If you had read half of ben500's posts you would know he is not the person you describe, he has asked a simple question and is not getting a reply, ben likes to buy crap but not crap that he has been lead to believe is worth more than it actually is0 -
The Lego Bionicle deal.....2 for £6.......please show me where you can get that cheaper?
You don't like the deal, you don't buy......it's not rocket science that nobody in their right mind would buy at the RRP.....I've used this company twice, which is not a lot as most deals are not what i want. But I found them to deliver very quickly etc......
I just think some posters are giving them a hard time for no particular reason.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -

I see that it was Vezok, so how about £1.50 each at Amazon? That's two for £3.00 leaving you £3 to spend on something else to qualify for free P+P
