I've bought the last 2 20 deals for 20 quid, and hubby and I have thoroughly enjoyed going through the boxes to see whats there! (I've always completely forgotten by the time they arrive).
We have 6 children in the family to buy for and the boxes prove useful for stocking fillers, so I've been happy with them.
Its about freedom of choice, I choose to buy, you choose not to, and you know what, that's ok. But do you really need to argue about it?Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -
davemorton wrote: »Looking at it a different way, its only a couple of quid more than a 'bag of crap' and now-a-days they only have 3 items in, so it could be a really good deal! (I hope mine has a lordship thingy in it :-) its much more fun if they dont say what is in the box.
I think Grabitnow would do well to take a leaf out of Boffer's book. They don't pretend that their stuff is worth much more than it actually is, and they don't take themselves too seriously! Grabitnow need to lighten up a bit, stop being so defensive and take on board people's criticisms.
When you offer a product or service it's very important to know what your customers think of it. Grabitnow should see it as a positive thing that a forum like this exists so they can get some honest feedback!0 -
I ordered about £20 worth of bits and pieces from dealextreme and quite happy with what I've got, lots of stocking fillers etc. Its the lack of choice I dont like with grabitnow, its £20 (or £10 tomorrow) for a selection of stuff that almost always has something in it you wouldnt order normally.
There are a lot of places you can order similar stuff from at similar prices but have the choice of getting what you want.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
grabitnow dont sell BOC (bags of crap) ............ they sell LOC (loads of crap)!!0

I've bought a few things from Grabitnow in the past and have always been very pleased with them. This morning i've had two bionicle sets arrive for a grand total of £6, they're going to be fab additions to the present cupboard.
I also remember the Ipod shuffle for £20 being a very good buy!Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -
Its so sad that the GrabItNow office have felt the need to defend themselves, due to the rudeness of some of our fellow MSE ers - I thought that this was the seanson of Good Will. If you don't like the stuff, then don't buy it. Some of us have been very happy with our purchases, and continue to be satisfied customers.

I've bought today's deal, as I thought it was worth a go for £10.0 -

Thank you for the kind words from Davemorton, Shelbell, Plushchris and Melon78. It is a shame that others seem to thrive on rudeness, insults and using the word "crap" in the public domain. Grabitnow will continue to offer the best deals possible and please bear in mind that it is our unique policy to offer Free Delivery on all our Daily Deals. With a 20:20 deal, DHL charge us £4.20 for the delivery of a nextday parcel, so you can see that this is a substantial cost for us to build into each project. Of course you can visit any pound shop, but be ready to pay for your own costs, such as car maintenance or transport, petrol and the parking, so you could propably equate that each pound item, is actually costing your family budget at least £ 1.50 !...and that is why customer like to shop on the internet. Grabitnow is learning how to satisy all of our customers and we will contine to try our best. Have a nice day
I suggest you take a look at Harryharps post, it does your company no service for you to think you can come here and admonish those that dare to criticise your company and or it's products., Some of us have posed questions which you choose not to acknowledge perhaps your time would be better spent in doing so rather than posting patronising lectures such as the one above, you see we here at mse are more than capable of making such calculations and have been doing so long before your arrival.
I'll start you off with my own which was, how can you justify your grossly inflated rrp's quoted against your products?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

No what is sad is that the staff feel they are above criticism when clearly criticism is due, what is even sadder is that they think they can come here and reprimand those that dare to question their busines practice and goods, the posts thus far have done them more harm than good in displaying the mentality behind the company's representatives.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I have gone for this offer today! At this price does it really matter if you only find a use for 1 or 2 of the items? Looking at the list a lot of them seem reasonable and those that don't seem like they could make good joke presents. We'll see what its like when it arrivesNever give up the dream! :beer:0
