Tat in a pound shop is generally around the £1 so effectively you could say you are getting your gear half price at 20 for £10, a good deal in that respect, but hardly comparible to the claims being made, I think that is the beef people have.

OK the claims are a bit high, but if you search the items they are offering, you can find many items at the rrp prices they state along with much lower prices, but they do state "you could save" not you "will" save. And nearly every retail company is doing this or has done this, so unless some people miss understand what they have read, I cant understand why they are slagging off this company and not every other retail company that do this also!

If you look at their past deals, they are selling titles (Lord, Lady, Baron, etc) to the principality of Sealand for £10

    http://www.grabitnow.com/previousdeals/

Now go to the official website http://www.sealandgov.org/ and if you click the link to buy titles from them direct, you go here

    http://www.redsave.com/products/become-a-lord,-lady,-baron-or-baroness,,21

where they sell them at £6.36 each. OK, you pay postage, which takes it just over £10.

But if you want two pieces of paper saying you are a lord or lady, then it is better to go direct.

Oh, and if that is not (expensive) tat, I don't know what is.

Most of the stuff I've seen on Grabitnow has been similar to stuff I've seen in poundland.

20 items for a tenner? I'd rather pick and choose 10 items in poundland thanks!

  • I bought the £20 deal out of curiosity more than anything.

With the exception of a couple of items the contents are now in the bin. :rotfl:

Just a little point, the £10 was for TWO sets, so only a fiver each, and for that price, not a bad little (daft) pressie for a couple of people {I would like one, for a laugh!}.

Well i for one will be checking to see what the 20 deals for £10 is , if i want it i will buy it , if not i won't bother , if there's a few items for me and a few to give away that'll do me fine ,
Come on folks where's your christmas spirit , there's obviously some shown here by http://www.grabitnow.com since after all its gonna be half price and its your choice , at least wait and see what it is and you can always be polite and say no thanks ,

btw i bought a weather station for £1.80 which they claimed was worth £19.99 it was crap so now i know i can send something back thats something i've learned and worthwhile discussion , as after all weer all here to learn and share stuff...

But would you bother paying to send something back that was only £1.80? It'd probably cost that (or more) to send it back seeing as its down to the customer to pay for returns.

Apparently you won't be able to check before you buy, as the 20 deals for £10 is a 'mystery' box. I'm afraid you won't know what's in it until you get it...

Looking at it a different way, its only a couple of quid more than a 'bag of crap' and now-a-days they only have 3 items in, so it could be a really good deal! (I hope mine has a lordship thingy in it :-) its much more fun if they dont say what is in the box.
