Is this a left handed screwdriver thread:rotfl:
Boneless spare ribs.
Fried chicken ,without oil.
:rotfl:
No, I simply asked 2 questions
I did hear of a baked crispy chicken using corn flakes but I've never tried it either. I'm here to get ideas and recipes people have USED.
Thanks, Catowen*If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button*

In the past I have used belly pork strips instead of spare ribs, more meat and no bone.
Chinese "spare ribs":
Pork spare ribs or belly pork strips
2 heaped tablespoons hoi sin sauce
2 heaped tablespoons sugar
1/2 pint water
1 heaped dessertspoon of cornflour.
Heat the oven to maximum temperature while you prepare the sauce.
Mix all the ingredients except the meat together in a saucepan, make sure that the cornflour is well blended in without any lumps. Place the saucepan on the heat and stir constantly until it comes to the boil.
Place the meat in a single layer in a large roasting tin and pour the sauce over. Roast on high for about 30 minutes, turning the meat every 10 minutes or so.
Beware these are VERY hot when they come out of th eoven, so leave them to stand for a short while before serving.
Although I have never paersonally tried doing oven "fried" chicken a google found lots of hits including this video demonstration from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HJK6ryxDgg0 -

Hi rev,
I got some a few weeks ago, and cooked them in my SC for several hours, then put them into the oven to crisp, they were delicious, very tender yet crispy.

Hi all
I've just come back from Tesco with some bargin meat...i'm so proud of myself as i saved £23.47 altogether and i think i have at least 34 family meals worth of meat (2 adult & 2 children, if i pad them out a bit).
:T :T :T :T
Anyway i got a rack of pork ribs to try. It says you can grill or cook in the oven...has any one got any advice on how they cook them and what do you serve them with? I'd be really interested to know.
Thanks
(By the way, i didn't push or fight my way to get to the yellow stickers, i just took my turn)0 -

Ken Hom has a great recipe for chinese 5 spice ribs. Google "ken hom ribs" and it's the first result. I adapt the recipe by baking them in a hot oven for 15 mins rather than doing them in oil in a deep-fat fryer or ok. You get the same result (browned ribs) but it's far less messy. Then proceed as per the recipe.0

Hi kippers,
I use Delia's recipe for ribs, it's delicious!
There are more recipes on these threads:

I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep all the suggestions together.
