  • Slice it and freeze it - just make sure you separate it with double greeseproof paper in the portions that you think you will need! Did this last year, came out great!

this is what my husband would do- he likes your thinking!!!:rotfl:
  • i bought 2 on friday they both were dated 27th Dec and neither had a do not freeze label on so i have already frozen 1.
  • Looks awful, just like unsliced boiled ham, can't imagine anyone paying £15 for it.
  • I bought one of these today as a recommendation from a friend.

When i brought it home i thought il make a couple of ham rolls, and i didnt know whether i had to cook it or not lol!

I rang my mum and a few other people to check, and said it had been cured, but everyone one sayin 'oooh im not sure, im sure cured means its ready to eat, best cook it though to be sure'.

Wasnt till ive seen this thread tonight that i now know i can eat it without cooking it.lol

But that's only because it has been so well disguised, if the truth be known this stuff is about as meaty as your average sausauge unless of course you count trotters, sinew, fat, grissle, cartilidge, lips etc as meat of course. There is also the question as to its origin, bear in mind the recent withdrawal of pork and beef products in Ireland and the fact that this product is merely cured in England to provide a flag of convenience.
