Yeah noticed that on mine, was surprised to see it - pity as I was planning on buying a few.

Anyone know if it would be safe to freeze these?

you normaly get this on items, that have already been frozen before.

and have been defrosted before selling.

  • Thanks very much to op for this post,:T I called my mum (she lives close to asda) and she got 2 for me and 2 for her.
This is great for me as my teenage boys go through at least 2 packs of ham a week so i will save money on sandwiches, and will get a few dinners as well. all before the use by date of 27th

It's Wiltshire Ham and I'm sure EEC rules mean that its actually has to be from Wiltshire to say Wiltshire Ham.
  • Its cured in the Wiltshire way - says its produced in the UK.
Plenty left at South Woodham Ferrers, and they also have a good offer on large beef roasting joints. I bought a 4 kilo rump roasting joint for £14.50 - its £4 per kg and can be frozen. Great for a New Year party - plenty of slices.

  • Bought a couple of these today in my local Asda, noticed that although they are all labelled 1.1 kilo there actually looked to be big difference in sizes - I went through the self scanner and checked the weight through interest, one weighed 1.45 kilos and the other 1.47 - just a note to bear in mind!
