Why would anyone drive on a motorway when they are very low on petrol? Where had he been that he had set off with no money and no card to access money? Does he live in Wales? If so wouldn't he have known there was a toll bridge?0

I have never seen them but there again, I know I need money, but it would be helpful if the signs also directed people to where they could get money from such as the services at the old bridge - it's very much local knowledge (that's unless there are signs and I just have not noticed them
)
We need fewer roadsigns not more!
My dad always told me, NEVER leave home without some money in your pocket and I still never do (I am nearly 50). I guess these days that should read ..money, credit/debit cards.0 -
more or less is not the important thing - relevant signs with all the info on is what is required0

I dont know the area but according to another poster there are relevant signs which say cash/tag only. then a sensible driver with some cash in pocket will have no problems ..As I said we need fewer signs not more0 -
While the legislation doesn't let them take credit/debit cards (and clearly they have decided it's not worth fighting for it to be changed), surely the toll booths would be an ideal place for one of those private "charge you £2 a go" cash machines?student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0

what a brilliant idea
that way as well as mile long queues of cars waiting to get through the tolls while numpty drivers chuck change on the floor instead of in the coin bins, or switching from the TAG lane (because they don't know that they don't have one of those), we can have abandoned cars and queues of people forgetting their PINS!0 -
I don't think it would be a bad idea if it was organised properly. TBH there has never been a mile long queue at the tolls in all the times I've crossed the bridge. There are plenty of clear signs though and although I know it's inconvenient to not accept cards there's no excuse for not knowing.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

I'm working in Bristol at the moment (live in Cardiff) and I spend hours every week sitting there!
I've taken to going to Cribbs Causeway instead!
