Yes please!
I found the Declutter thread a great help & it also acted as my conscience.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Ooh I have a number of things that I want to kick-start this year - most being ongoing projects as opposed to things that must be completed!
- I want to make a list of birthdays and Christmas presents so I can get a head start and make "homemade" for everyone. I have already decided that everyone will get a pair of socks next Christmas plus something else - I just need to thing about different gifts that I can make
- Prepare the garden to grow-my-own. I have already started to grow vegetables but since moving have now found out that the vegetable patch that I have floods and turns into a bog in winter (or any time of year with heavy rain) so want to sort out the drainage before I plant anything otherwise all my hard work will be to no avail
- Declutter the house and then to help keep it tidy issue everyone their particular tasks of housework
- Sell any unwanted items on either eBay or Amazon (I've lots of books to sells to help with the declutter)
- And finally, I want to make a patchwork quilt for my little girl and a knitted throw for me so I can keep warm on the sofa in winter

QOTD - it might be worth you looking into building raised beds to sort out your "boggy" problem in your garden. They are ideal for veg - and also have the advantage of meaning that you don't have to bend as far for weeding etc.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Great thread! I love the fresh start feeling that comes with a new year.
Still working on my list (intend to spend a couple of hours really thinking things through before Wednesday!), but having just retired I need to ensure that I spend my time wisely - don't want it to just drift by.
Definitely the old favourites of losing weight and being more organised around the house will be there - but I think I need to be a bit more specific, or else they'll still be on the list for 2010! fabulous ideas on here - thanks everyone!Resolution:

I'm quite proud of myself actually - the freezer inventory is already done, and I bought some card-making supplies today, too! :A🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks EssexHebridean I had thought about that since we have one raise bed in the garden which looks out of place since the others are just normal borders - I was planning on robbing the wood for my veg patch!0

I have been thinking a lot since this thread started. I believe I'm mostly OK in the OS-moneysaving department, but my big ones to work on are:
1. Decluttering
2. Decorating
I hope we manage to keep this thread live so I'll have constant reminders during the year!"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0
