Good morning all
Happy Birthday to Me!I'm 28 today  and am now seriously thinking about setting a target to myself to pay off the full 9k I owe by the time I'm 30. I am going to think on this for a while though!
Today I have opened my presents from my mum - Woo! I got some candles shaped like little Santas, a really gorgeous pair of silver earrings and a moneyboxAlthough it says shoe fund on it, I am going to use this for non-Sealed-Pot funds to pay off my overdraft early.
Later on my best friend is coming round and we're going to drink some Bucks Fizz (Mmm...bubbles) and go to the pictures. I got an annual cinema pass from my parents for my birthday so I am going to get my picture taken for this and then I have free entertainment for a year. Am I right in thinking that I can take my other half to the movies for nothing on Orange Wednesdays with this pass?
Anyway, have a lovely Monday all

Hello all!
Well, I have had a very lovely day, and thanks to all of the lovely people on the forum who have said Happy Birthday to me on assorted threads.I have been out and about - I went to see Madagascar 2 with my new cinema pass. I love this free movies thing
I'm still waiting for my official pass to come through, but have a temporary one for the moment. The picture on the pass is horrendous, but that's because I misunderstood the booth (It said I could take four pictures, I thought four different ones, but no!)
Spending wise, I'm off the wagon a little - I don't want to cook as it's my birthday and t'other half isn't well, so we're having Chinese for dinner. £21 for the two of us  but the place we have ordered from does the best crispy duck spring rolls EVER.Nom nom nom. I still had money left from my groceries money for December though so I will use some of that for the Chinese and some for the essentials I bought from Asda tonight.
I will be using this thread as my spending diary, as well as using https://www.spendingdiary.com from when I get paid on Friday, but it's so close to payday it won't reflect the true spending I do as I am being very frugal this month.
Have a lovely evening folks.0 -

Evening all
Hope you have all had a lovely Tuesday. Today was my first day back at work following my holibags, which wasn't the most fun I have ever had but some good things happened today:
- We got given chocolate coins at work - woo! They will go on the tree for Christmas Day
- I sent off an expenses claim for £21.40 in train/taxi fares I had forgotten about
- I came home from work to find a registered letter. "Eek!" I thought, nothing good can come of this, but it was a £15 iTunes voucher from a competition I had entered.
- I had NSD #8, which is amazing as I had only set a target of 4 for the month!!
Have a lovely evening!

Evening all
I'm trying to post this quite quickly while I make dinner, so sorry for the bad typing/grammar etc!
I have good and bad today:
Good
- Didn't spend any cash at work - no coffee, no junk food apart from the Christmas chocs that were sitting around. I took my lunch in with me and a flask for my coffee. I have been filling up a little water bottle and drinking that when I want coffee/tea, it's working well so far!
- Got home to a £50 cheque from my uncle for Christmas. I don't feel as though I can cash it until after Christmas, so will keep it safe until then and will pay £10 towards my debt and the rest to the sales shopping. No credit cards for me in the sales this year!!
- Bought Simple face wipes (The only ones my face likes!) on 2 for £5 in Boots today but bought on my points. Yay!
- Paid £4.75 to my overdraft fund
- Realised that after payday on Friday I will hit my target of getting my Barclaycard under £1,000 in December
All effort now towards the overdraft as it is interest-charging and Barclaycard is interest-free
- Spent £11ish in Boots (Cash not points) on tights. They are amazing thick tights that the cats can't claw through! Also, they were on 3 for 2 *justifyjustifyjustify*
- Spent £6 on brown paper and bubble wrap. This is an investment though as I am going to be Ebaying a couple of items a week from now on. I am on track to make around £30 from the two perfume sets I'm selling at the moment!
Better go and make sure the dinner doesn't burn before we go to the pictures!!

My LBM came on 28/11/2008
- that's when I joined the PAD challenge! Since then, I have been slogging away trying to clear some debt as I had realised that things needed to change in terms of my spending. Here is where I stand now:
Barclaycard - balance was £1,131.90 now £1,016.50 I also made a small payment to it today and will make my £23 minimum when I get paid tomorrow
Overdraft - balance was £1,007 last month the day before payday, today it's £728. This is not from PAD etc, just being really careful with my money. I also have £27.12 in my "Pay Off Your Bloomin' Overdraft" fund in addition.
By my calculations, I have paid off £115.40 from my Barclaycard, £279 from my overdraft and have saved £27.12 to also go towards clearing the overdraft. That is a moneysaving total of £421.52!!!!!!!!!!!!I don't think there are enough smileys in the world for how thrilled I am!!
I know it's not going to be possible to do this every month, t'other half hasn't got any money coming in, this month was the last one where he had been able to give me money, but my SOA doesn't include any contribution from him, so I will be able to do it with careful planning and budgeting.
Have a lovely Thursday all
