    Hi

My local ASDA said the baby event was starting on 27th Jan and would be on for 3 weeks! We've just finished the BIG pet and cleaning event!

Need to pop in tonight for a few bits so will have a look - not buying anything yet though only 5weeks + 5 but want to have a nosey and get an idea on prices.

Does anyone know how often these events are held? I'm due in September so am hoping there will be another nearer the time - oh my god, I can't believe I'm going to be a Mum!!!!!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Feelie - at least they are looking at you and will be taking some action. It must be scary when they ask questions like that but better to be safe than sorry (thank god you don't have that kind of family history)

Remind us how many weeks you are now (I can barely remember my own, never mind everyone elses!!)

oh thanks mel that's very kind of you. just a side effect of living on the other side of the world to your family, trying to do the right thing by everyone, being pregnant and emotional - the usual joys.

sorry asda was such a disappointment. dont blame you for picking up 'blue things' in the sale. i would too if i knew what team bubs belonged too

27+1 I think! I'm glad I asked them to check it, I just wasn't feeling very good and glad they squeezed me in. Still nothing wrong with urine, so it isn't pre-eclampsia, so must just be pregnancy induced hypertension.

It was the first question he asked me, and I thought 'Oh my god, what has gone wrong'. I suppose they have to ask, but it didn't half frighten me!

Hope you feel better soon. Hormones are hard aren't they? I'm embarrased to say that I cried when the lady in the cafe told me I was too early for a potato :o

I'm home! GTT was alright, normal so thats good.

Blurry vision and headache were pretty bad in the waiting room, so I asked them to take BP again. Was high again, so saw a Doctor, although his badge said 'Head of Gynecology'. He asked a lot of questions, and several times he asked if any of the women in my family had any trouble keeping pregnancies, which was a bit scary. He took some more bloods, did a urine test, prodded and poked me a bit and listened to my chest. Got to go back on Tuesday next week for another scan and to see my Consultant. He thinks I'll be given medication for the blood pressure.

Welcome to the high BP club! Although it's not as great as everone makes out...

If you go on medication, take things really easy, and I warn you, don't watch horror films cos your dreams get funkey!

Hope it settles down hun, I really do.

thanks sami - i will give it some more thought. i had thought about a rocking one but now i am not so sure.

glad your GTT went okay Feely. i didn't mind mine. i thought the drink was okay too.

glad you are feeling better too Feely. cr*p day for me. whoever said moving to the other side of the world was a good idea wasn't being honest

I suppose until you try it with your bubs you won't know if they like it or not

If it makes you feel any better the weather in Sydney is apparently carp at the mo to quote my friend "CS might as well be in london, where has mr sunshine gone?"
