That makes me No.8! EEK!!
It is exciting isn't it:p
I don't know what has happened today, but I feel so excited about having this baby.
Well i'm gonna pick up my other two squidies from school, leaving a little earlier because I want to buy some coloured paper to see if it makes any difference to ds2's reading and writing letters the right way round/up!!
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
That puts me into the teens Mel!! I'm now no 19.
Bump has definitely dropped. It is more uncomfortable to sit, my bump looks smaller from the top and my boobs are nearly sticking out as far as my bump again
I'm going for the elongated egg look :cool:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

AF - you do have someone to make you shop...BUBS!!! Don't panic yet, it's only in the last week or so that I have really sorted myself out so you are ahead of me IYSWIM.
Did your friend give you any tips?
I have had a couple of 'Start packing your hospital bag' type emails from the various baby clubs  ...I hadn't even begun to think about packing one yet. I am only just getting to grips with what I need to be taking with me! I am thinking family size suitcase at the moment :rotfl:
I know I have bubs, but I need someone stood by me saying, YES PUT THAT IN THE BASKET/TROLLEY AND BUY IT. hubby is just as bad as me
my friend went over what she had in her hospital bag, and it's the usual things we have been talking about.
we did speak about labour and my 'lovely' labour dream i had. she unfortunatley had quite a bad time but she was all ears about what i wanted/didn't want etc.
as i am worried about temperatures of things as it seems to be everywhere in the book, it was reassuring to hear her say that it is just common sense (like everyone else has been saying) and you will know what is right when the time comes.
so, can i avoid jewel quest tonight and write a list?0 -
I've read through about the last 5 or 6 pages... wowwwwwwie!!!
Someone on the last page was asking about baby bouncers? (sorry, cant remember who now!) I just wanted to recommend this one by Chicco.... I will deffo be getting it this time round. I had a Mamas & Papas vibrating one for my 1st child, and have given it to the charity shop... a few of my antenatal-class friends had the Chicco one and it seemed fab! It reclines so if the baby falls asleep you can just lay it down flat and let them have their snooze there, and it has carry handles too! Im sure you might find it cheaper elsewhere, but just wanted to pass on that rec0 -
Hey, we're creating a little gang here - i'm Bromborough!
Mel - were we not saying how great the Wirral Line was a couple of days ago? Ooops!!
I've had much stronger BH's this pregnancy - several times a day now, it makes me stop and catch my breath. I'm starting to worry i won't know the difference when the real contractions start!
Oh you're right near me aren't you!
Mine make me stop and catch my breath too!
You should realise the difference, BH are uncomfortable, but real contractions are uncomfortable and bloody hurt like hell lol x
Is this your 3rd baby too? (Just noticed Mel is on her 3rd like me also)
My 2 now are 12, (13 the day before the baby is due lol) and 11. I can't believe I've got to go through everything AGAIN!!!! lolTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Thanks everyone for all the lovely welcomes.
Like Honey pot, I really dont feel pregnant at all. I cant wait till I feel some movement then I will know its real lol. I have a little boy at 1Y and the last pregnancy seems still very fresh in my mind. I think I associate preganancy with lots of kicks and movements, but still nothing moving here yet though shouldnt be too long now Im 13 + 50 -
Am gobsmacked that my GP surgery is wasting so much time and money!
I rang to book in with the midwife and was told that I needed to be referred by the GP so.........................
10min appointment with GP = £8.50
10mins for said GP to dictate a letter stating me EDD = £8.50
15mins for secretary to type and send letter to midwife = £3
10mins for midwife to contact me to book my first appointment = £4.50
Finally get an appointment with midwife - probably 2 weeks later than I could of if I booked in straightaway. Am fuming  - I manage a GP surgery and we allow patients to book straight in with the midwife - saves patient at least one trip and saves NHS £24.50 a time.
My midwife (who yes I have told) here at the surgery said it's ridiculous and has gone to get me some baby books which they give out to new mum's!!
Let's just hope the doctor on Monday doesn't ask me to provide a sample because she may end up with it on her head! A positive is a positive and that would be even more of a waste of time and money.
Rant over now - sorry girls. :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Yes my 3rd too! DD is 8 and DS is 11. There must be something in the Wirral Water.
I know i'm being daft about not knowing the difference between the BH and proper contractions - but its been a long time! Even longer for you!:beer:0 -
There is 6 years between my daughter and this one, and I am scared that I will have forgotten what to do !!!!!
I know I will be fine, and at least this time with an elected section, I know I shouldnt have the scary waiting to go into labour thing, or the nightmares of my waters breaking in work !! (I work in mortgages so that would have been fun !!, can you imagine my customers faces if that was to happen !! )The two best things I have done with my life

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0
