Hi Ladies,

I need to change my EDD on the list, can someone do it please? I don't want to attempt it incase I mess the whole thing up lol.
EDD from midwife was 3rd June, had 20 week scan yesterday and they amended to 11th June instead.

Baby was sleeping head down and facing away so took ages to get a look at him/her, they tried to flip the baby round but no luck. Managed to measure the bits they needed then said go for a walk and come back hoping it would move, which it did but arms covering face this time so didn't get a look at the face or a nice picture of the side profile as it wouldn't play along!

But was good to see baby on the screen, I have a confession to make... Although I am now 20 weeks, I only actually 'believed' I was pregnant when I heard the heartbeat at 17 weeks at midwife appointment. After a year and a half of TTC then having absolutely NO symptoms whatsoever of being pregnant (some may remember me posting about it before) I think I started to kind of think it wasn't really happening. We had an early scan at 9 weeks and saw a blob with heartbeat but for the following weeks I still felt nothing happening and thought they'd got it all wrong. I spoke to DH about the baby and being pregnant because I thought he'd be so upset if he thought I didn't believe it, but to anyone else I always cut baby-based conversations short as I thought how silly it would be to say eventually I wasn't pregnant at all. DH's parents wanted to buy our pram for us, so I went along with that thinking 'but I have to tell them at some point it isn't real'.
I think I was in some sort of dis-belief at it finally happening after so long trying for a baby, anyway I went along to the midwife appointment expecting her not to be able to find a heartbeat and promptly burst into tears when I heard it, it was real!!! So only for the past few weeks has it actually sunk in I'm really having a baby, and I feel I've missed out on a few months worth of the excitement.

I feel so silly, but relieved. BTW, I don't think I'm 'ill in the head', just truly couldn't believe it was happening at last.

Or am I just a nut-job??

Oh Honeypop....you'd better start believing it now!!!

Theres going to be alot of changes very quick within the next few months and then there'll be no deneying it....Good luck xx

Yeah you're a nutjob honeypop

I think we can all relate to what you're saying... If you don't have symptoms and you can't feel it moving you start to wonder if you've made it all up and you're going to feel a right fool when you have the scan and there's nothing in there... I felt it both times... Even with wicked morning/afternoon/evening sickness!

honeypop - I think we all get a bit of that to a lesser or greater degree - although yours sounds a bit more extreme than most!!

Now you can get on with enjoying your pregnancy - it will fly around now!

Congratulations on your scan and your exceedingly stubborn baby it was probably getting you back for not believing it was really there :rotfl:

since yesterday i have had this constant back ache on my left hand side. it's doing my head in now. all my back ache through this pregnancy has been on my left hand side :mad:
