    Hi all

early scans: I had one at 6 weeks on this cos I lost a baby last may. Basically saw a heartbeat. Baby measured 3mm!

very early pg symptoms: can be your mind playing tricks. I had "symptoms" following my m/c. But my af came & then I conceived. Sometimes I think if you want it that much, your mind can play tricks on you. Good luck & try & wait till day 14 to test! x

Am absolutly knackered today. DH has a man cold & kept me awake all night. And most of the night before.

Ashtons, I am going away mid feb. I am also taking my notes with me. I'll be between 32-33 weeks when I go! May take my hospital bag as well, just in case! Funnily enough I went away at exactly the same stage of my last pregnancy! I had placenta praevia as well & looking back I probably shouldn't have gone cos not long after I got back I began bleeding.

Had my heart set on a normal delivery but with the baby laying across I am heading towards a section.

    Hope everyone is well

    Lisa x

Sami - Can you tell me which one you have from ikea :)

Sure :D I've just noticed I got the prices wrong/they've changed since we got them
    Table: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20045205
    Mat: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70025318
I they do little covers for the mat but I just use some cheap hand towels (think they were tesco value)

Any of you guys getting any other furntiure for your nurserys?? Im on such a tight budget Im struggling to justify anything at the mo.

I'm not buying very much! I think I'm just getting a moses basket, a pram, a changing mat, a nappy bin (OH has a very sensitive nose!) and a few clothes.

I've decided that I'll start my shopping after my 32 (or is 34) week scan. Hopefully that isn't too late to jinx anything!

This time tomorrow, I'll know what my baby looks like!

AF - Thinking of you at the moment (((((HUGS)))))

Helen81 - Sounds like you might well be preggers! I didn't have sore boobs as soon as you, however I have heard that lots of women do. Fingers crossed for you!
Babyelephant - Welcome and congrats to you  . Good luck with keeping up with this thread - we do like a good chat in here!

I have been thinking of trying that fairy soft washing powder and conditioner - does it really make a difference? I always use Ariel colour liquitabs, but I think thats just cause I get stuck in a rut and buy the same thing every month.
I use asda/tesco own brand non-bio liquid but the fairy naturals fab con, I have sensitive skin/eczema as does Chris which it doesn't aggravate like some do (comfort pure fab con and persil non-bio powder get us itching quickly!) but if you've not got skins probs I wouldn't worry

I keep looking on ebay to see if there is anything on there. I would like a wardrobe & chest of drawers and a cot bed. My dad is making me a toybox and a bookshelf.

Some people have told me that the changing stations can be a waste of space as you're much better changing the baby on the floor but I was going to use the top of the drawers if I need to

I'm lucky that I've had or will have quite a few things given and I'm also checking freecycle to see if there's anything on there.

Don't forget that if your baby is due after 5 April you'll get the new government "Healthy Start" grant or whatever they call it. You can claim any time after you're 25 weeks pregnant.

feelie i cant tell you how jealous i am, actually i could lie on the floor kicking and screaming as i wanted a 4d scan! you will need to let us see the hansome little man when you get back:D did you decide on a name??

as for furniture we were kindly given a cot from freecycle, its a standard cot but looks like new!! we bought new matress and bedding, but TBH we have realised there is no point going over the top buying things as most things are used for such a little time! Charlie has a set of the plastic drawers which i find fantastic as there is a drawer for bibs, vest, etc etc looking for a set for this LO but cant find one with enough drawers in it??
What's for you won't go past you

  • shelvis - If it is any help my house is still standing (although on the inside it looks like it has been turned upsidedown :o) Most mornings this week I have got back from the school run and gone back to bed :o I am just too darn tired to do anything or too sicky... I am doing my best to ignore the mess - there will be a day soon where the whole lot gets blitzed - just not today :rotfl:

Are you going abroad? just asking as I found a travel insurace place that is supposed to cover you up to 36 weeks. Long story but we haven't booked hols yet as we were ttc but because dh's last VR hadn't been sucessful the redo was like a last chance saloon type thing... lol we managed 1st time (again) So rather than going in August we will need to go at the beginning of July. Just don't want to book until after 1st scan.

Congrats to everyone who has had good news and (hugs) to those in need.

gtg and find something to eat - just so pernickerty at the min I don't know what...
