I bought a doppler quite early on for £17. I have to say I haven't used it much because I didn't want to become obsessed and as soon as Bubba started moving regularly then I knew he was alright anyway!!
I would say be careful if you do get one. It can take a long time to find a heartbeat at the beginning and you can lose it really easily if baby just moves away. It would be very easy to worry yourself silly.
Having said that, it is fab being able to have a listen whenever you want!!
I thought a boys heart was faster than a girls???please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Feelie - Bubba kicks the bed too, if I move so he is not touching he kicks where the bed should be  In fact, he like to have a good poke, prod, pinch then kick of anything new to his environment, including his dads back, his brothers head, the desk, remote control and his favourite - the band of my trousers (he has a pair that he hates!)
With regard to changing bags, my main stipulation is that it needs to be masculine enough for his dad to take him and change him when we are out. If I buy a beautiful girly bag then I will be doing all the changing. I am looking more at the rucksack-type ones (and buying MAHOOSIVE handbags at the same time along with travel size versions of creams, wipes etc!)
for the travel size version of things, have you bought the slimline huggies wipes holder (currently red in colour at boots and sainsburys)????0 -

AF - I had one of those red cases in my handbag anyway, even 8 year olds need babywipes occasionally and I am just that kind of person - never without a tissue for a snotty nose or a pad and pens to keep the kids amused
Honey - I hadn't thought about Wilko - might pop into town for a nose and see what they have in!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
I havnt been on for ages, but I have been keeping up with all of your news! Otherwise known as lurking.
Hugs to those who have had bad news first of all, so sorry to hear your news!
I cant sleep at the moment I am waking up every morning at 3.30am-4.00am and then cant back to sleep no matter how hard I try.
Well I suddenly realised how pregnant I was yesterday for some reason and couldn't believe it! (I'm 27 weeks today) It has flown. I really need to start getting organised so I sat down with my pen and paper, I'm the kind of girl who feels a little more confident with a list :rotfl: How sad am I??? But I didnt know what to write haha So bang goes that theory!
I'm getting there with baby stuff I sat yesterday and got it all out and finally decided on the pram. We wanted the icandy apple, but I dont think I can justify the cost of the whole thing as we are hoping to go on holiday in October (so bubs is that bit older as opposed to a summer holiday this year) and I know I will buy an umbrella type buggy to take and she probably wouldn't go back in the big pram when we get back, so I am getting the cosatto mobi! There I said it out loud, well typed it haha! And seeing as we are saving money there I have treated bubs to a beautiful Clare de lune bassinet.
I'm worried that I dont remember anything from when I had Josh, he'll be 6 in march, I find myself worrying over stooopid things like how many blankets I will need! Haha I'm driving myself crazy.
I don't think it helps that I got a call yesterday afternoon asking if the window fitters could come on Monday and fit the whole house with new windows! We were thinking it would be the beg of Feb! But the sooner they are done the better I suppose as OH has decided we are remodelling the whole of downstairs before Lexie arrives! Thanks babe, what an excellent time to choose! It'll be lovely when its all done though. So I cant complain, my sister in law has to bug brother in law for about three months before anything gets done in her house.
Oh well going to ebay some junk so I can buy the changing bag and baby chair I want!
Take Care (((Hugs)))
