Maryjane I know what you mean about bad appraisal before trying to make people redundant...
about 5 years ago when I worked for one of the worlds largest IT companies we knew redundancies were in the pipeline (oddly enough they expected a bunch of multilingual technical people to be blind, stupid and deaf!) and when they tried to give me a written warning for being late (more than 5 minutes 3 times in a 6 month period... bearing in mind my manager who lived round the corner often didn't even bother to come in to the office and I lived an hour and 20 mins away after the office was moved! and suddenly had to cross the M40 AND go up the M4 at the 8/9 junction...) with no prior warnings... So I flipped (calmly) and pointed to the areas in my employement contract where it stated I should have a verbal warning at least ("oh you've had one" - ehh no I haven't saying to me in passing in the hall "you're a bit late today" once when I'd been stuck on the M4 due to a fatal crash further up is NOT a verbal warning!) and any verbal warning must be confirmed in writing - could they please show me that written confirmation? Also there have been no prior mention to me about time keeping and they have failed to carry out my 1-2-1s for the last 6+ months and not helped me with my personal development plan as stated in the company handbook. After much huffing and puffing and back tracking I didn't even get a verbal warning... 2 months later they announced redundancies after trying to get rid of 3 other people on "fake" points... Let's just say we all got VERY nice redundancy payments! Cheely !!!!!!s :)

    £1K! Nappies????

Do you think that there is something terrible in them and Pampers are trying to buy them back (I love a good old conspiracy theory!!) - I'm thinking they used something toxic in the absorbent core and they thought that they had destroyed all the evidence???

*Clearly fantasy - don't sue me Mr Pampers please!!*

I just assumed that that listing was dodgy and was for people to be able to "move" money in what looks like a legitimate way. Like drugs money or something? God i have a suspicious mind!

Hmmmm....luckily you added that last bit, otherwise it screams a lawsuit :D:D:D

Wonder if they are the same pack that were at £77 the other night (must go off and look at the link before I ask the question) ..... Yes they are

He could sue me for my box of 10 Huggys Newborn from Boots ;):D

Hypno - that was possibly my second theory but it's not really as exciting as trying to hush up asbestos nappies

There are hundreds of things you could sell to yourself (millions probably) - why nappies? And more's the point, has anyone got any stashed anywhere???

I'm working from home today so have just put some vol-au-vents in the oven for lunch - yummy!!

I've reported them twice and I know Elle has reported them too, don't know why they haven't been booted off yet

Hope no-one has already posted this but check out this poor child's name...Celebrity's!
"Lee Ryan and his fianc!e, Sammi Millar now have a baby son. And he is named Rayn Lee Amethyst.
Er Lee, that’s a bit like your name, right? ‘We both just liked it. It’s an anagram of Ryan.’ Yes it is. And Amethyst? ‘We wanted a precious stone in there. If we ever have a girl, she’ll be called Rose Quartz.’ So that’s Rayn Lee Amethyst Ryan. Or Rayn Ryan for short."
