Just got back from my MW appointment (via McDonalds - OH has promised we will eat McDonalds after every MW appt!!). Little Beanie was very co-operative and MW found heartbeat straight away. Gave a big kick too. Got my next scan on 3rd Feb so I shall be counting the days until then.

Only 5 months till I see my little beanie. Where does all the time go!!

Glad you had a good scan mookie, and hope your baby smiles and waves for you pickle!

Hubby bought 3 big macs home on Wed night lol... He did eat 1 and a half though...

Ooh my friend has just found out she's got GBS she was devestated, she's due 2 weeks after me, 4th May.

How many weeks are you now?
I describe it as having a mild spasm deep inside, or the feeling that there is something in there, Or can even feel a bit like bubbling.

For me, it started with what was like eye twitches, but very low down in my belly. I think I started feeling odd things at about 16 weeks, only if I was sitting still and concentrating. By the time I was about 19 weeks, I'd feel them regularly. Now, he rarely stops, and I can feel different types of movement in different places.

"If you are expecting your first baby you can expect to feel your baby for the first time between 18 and 24 weeks gestation. If this is not your first baby you can expect to feel your baby a bit sooner than you felt your first"

Happens at different times for everyone skinty... was about 22 weeks the first time and about 14 weeks the second time... And even then I wasn't always sure if it was baby or wind...

SB - Jamie is just gorgeous :A not sure that you are going to be needing all those packs of size 1 huggies though looking forward to your birth story.

Miss C - how's it going with Gethin? Any chance of a piccie?


skinty - AF talked about 'spinning' a lot - it feels like there is something insode you that is spinning around. I thought the early movements felt like wind or a growling tummy!!

We sat with a couple on NYE who were pregnant too (we didn't know them, just a coincidence that we ended up seated next to them) and she was 22 weeks and said she hadn't felt a thing :eek: I told her to try laying on her back for a while and concentrating on how her bump 'feels' - always worked for me if I was worried that bubba wasn't moving enough.
