Happy New Year all
I'm at my parent's house; OH is home alone, suffering from gastric-fluNot only that, but after he'd dosed himself up on Beechams and wrapped up in five different tops/jumpers, he got called into work by his stupid, incompetent, pain-in-the-backside co-worker who couldn't be bothered / didn't actually know how to do his own bloody job so he called OH out at 10pm. A fire main had burst, so OH was wading about in freezing cold water sorting it out. He finally got home at half eleven. No doubt that's going to lay him up for a further few days - good job he's got Friday booked off as holiday and it's his weekend off, otherwise he'd lose his £300 no-absence bonus. I'd make that stupid bloke pay it up for calling him out! Grrr...
I've watched a Bruce Forsyth thing, then the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year and then channel hopped.. Think I'll go to bed soonAnother one feeling sorry for myself..
On the brightside, mum and dad have kept me talking all night and kept waking me up when I was dozing off, so I haven't actually fallen asleep and woken up feeling sick tonight.. makes a nice change!0 -
Thanks AM TBH its usually this week that gets me down and i dont think i realsied how much until it all kicked off yest? have decided that yes i will feel sad about nephew but im not gonna let it take over, saying that i think Charlie getting taken in on the same night was the icing on the cake?
New Year new start hope 2009 is wonderful for you all!!!! well am off to MIL today for dinner so no cooking/cleaning for me today:j am also gonna talk OH into taking kids to pics to see bedtime stories not that i dont reallly really want to see it:rotfl: bump has not stopped and a few times over the past few days i have questioned labour but think it must be the way she has moved and caught something!
oh the article on they twins how amazing is that!!!What's for you won't go past you0 -
If there's anyone around I could do with some advice. Despite having 5 babies before this time has been different as usual. I have been suffering from really bad headaches for the last 4 weeks, I'm 14 weeks now. Todays is the worst, terrible if I get up. The headaches are so bad that they wake me in the night often about 4 or 5 in the morning and all the paracetamol does is takes the edge of it. Anyone else had this in pregnancy, sure it's down to hormones but would really appreciate some reassurance. Thanks.
Happy New Year too!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Hi tarajayne,
I would say you need to seeek some medical advice just to set your mind at ease. I didn't suffer with headaches & it could just be your hormones but even so make an appointment as it sounds like you are really suffering. I hope they pass & you feel better soon. :grouphug:Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Tara - I've had a constant headache for the whole of pregnancy! It started easing at about 22 weeks. I've tried to avoid taking painkillers, but have had to quite regularly. I told the midwife who said it was normal.
Have read of this:
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/headaches/Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
i had a few headaches not as bad as that though just to be on the safe side get it checked out only if it puts you at ease im sure worrying aint gonna help you... or bubs hope you feel better soon x
Still searching .....:)

Tarajayne I had horrible headaches too at about the same stage. My head was throbbing even when I gave in and lied down in a dark room so must be the hormones. Hopefully it will ease off soon.
I'm getting terrible hip/pelvis/lower back pain at the moment. I did a bit too much on monday trying to get the house tidy and do a bit of painting and I was in agony. Had a really lazy day yesterday which has easied to the pain off a bit and got my gym ball out to sit on so I'm gonna take that as a warning to behave myself!
Anyway happy new yr to everyone and their bumps and babies:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009
:heart2:Toby born Apr and taken by SMA Dec 2012
