I am the queen of no routine! I followed Aimee's cues when she was tiny and never bothered with a routine because we didn't need one... She was never a big sleeper and daytime naps were never longer than 20mins unless she was ill and they stopped shortly after her 2nd birthday... Once she started school we got into a bit more of a routine, bedtimes are now set times etc... But I'm never going to be a person that puts the baby down on its own in a darkened room... I think it is damaging... But that's just my opinion :p
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

OMG im glad you said that :D , i thought i felt some 'popping' before then last week thought there was a wobble but nothing at ALL since, course, im worried now and thinking maybe that was nothing :o .

As ive said before I am too impatient and prob a bit too much of a worrywart.

Well done guys your routines all sound fab, im getting quite excited but still nervous :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi,

How soon after a period would you expect to test positive.

My periods are very confusing but my last 'bleed' started 10/11/08 until 14/11/08 and I tested +ive on 3/12.

My midwife suggested this morning that this could be an implantation bleed but will use it as a date to start with.

So my EDD is 18th June - 17th August. Slightly vague until my 1st scan.

I couldn't believe it, it was only my 1st midwife appointment and she had a feel around and scanned my stomach and thinks she could here a heartbeat but she wasn't sure. How exciting!

    Hope you're all well.

I had my Xmas work lunch today and my scret santa bought me Baileys. She obviously didn't know my 'secret'.

Well done and dont worry youll soon know a proper edd, i tried not to get excited until first scan when i had a firm edd, also had an implantation bleed 5 weeks after first day of last af so wasnt sure if dates would be right or if anything there at all!!!!

You could just smell and maybe sip a bit of the lurveerly Baileys??

i think that a routine is important as both you and baby know whats going on and when! especially at night. Charlie goes to bed at 7pm and is up at 7.45am he also has a nap from around 12.30 to 2.30/3pm when ever he wakes up but he doesnt stop when he is awake.

new baby will be the same obviously she will get cuddles but i think its important that they are not held for too long and not passed from one family member/friend to the next. if they come in and baby is awake they can hold them but they are not lifting baby up just to get a cuddle while she sleeps as this drives me mad and is the biggest mistake i made with Lewis!

anyway took me a while to catch up there and still not quite finished everything so better get back to it!
What's for you won't go past you

SB - sorry, I didn't mean that DS didn't slip into his own little routine, I just didn't worry about having his meals and sleep correlate to ours much - just followed his cues really. But he did have his own routine that developed on his own. It's just that around 6 months, I started kind of inching his routine more in line with ours, that's all.

caz - I agree - no way would I ever allow someone to pick up little one when they're sleeping just for a cuddle. With my luck, they'd wake them up and I would have a horrible time trying to get a cranky baby back to sleep!

I know, I was really suprised. I think she just wanted to see if she could tell as I could be quite far along.

I got a TLP 10 days after conception if that helps

I presume your MW was so thorough to try to get a better idea of how far along you are, if not you must have very good MWs in your area! :D
