Hello, golly i am really am pants at updating this aren't i!
MUST TRY HARDER and get ppl replying to it etc

Right so wats been happening with me! I had a week off work last week because it was my birthday, grand old age of 25!! Sadly myself and daughter were ill and i was convinced i had swine flu! I was up all night throwing up and god no's wot, so was my daughter. I had sore throat, didnt eat, very tired, muscles hurt and the list goes on...... anyway have recovered so dont no if it was or not.

I received a debt letter from a debt collection company 2 weeks ago for AOL apparantly i owed them £194. I was with AOL 16 months ago and they must have been trying to find me. I rang the debt company and told a lady that i had paid by direct debit every month and i gave them notice on leaving the company etc so i have no idea why i owe them money. I told the woman i was not going to pay them any money until she spoke to aol and got me a break down of the money i apparantly owe. She said she would ring and call me bak.

2 weeks later and no phone call or nething, today i got another letter saying if i didnt contact them in 10 days further action would be taken. So i rang them again and the man said are you going to make payment today, i said no i bloody aint. i am ringing you back as the lady i spoke to 2 weeks ago hasnt returned her call as promised and i told the man the same bloody thing s i told the women 2 weeks ago. he then said, my account has been closed and no debt is owed. i was like, really are you sure? he said yes, i said can u confirm that in writing and he said no!! but i said its deffo closed he said yes, no money is owed. so thats a relief, not that i owed any anyway.

British gas i was rathe behind on, i wasnt paying enuf each month at my old address so i rang them and they have agreed to add on wot i owe to my new account and i shall pay slightly more each month and hopefully that will sort itself out, similiar thing happened with water so thats getting sorted aswell.

I worked out i should have roughly £400 spare a month after bills now were paying less rent but because i get all of my money at different times of the month and the pills go out at different times, i never and i mean never seem to have a pot to p1ss in let alone have that amount spare. I am always robbing peter to pay paul so if ne one can help me sort that out, i wud appreciate it.

I do owe littlewoods £60 i missed this months payment and i am £60 over my limit on one of my credit cards and desperatly need to sort that out.

I am meant to be doing a car boot sale on Sunday, we ll see if i can get all my stuff ready and sorted. I sold a brand new duvet cover set on ebay recently for the grand amount of £7 woo hoo. I didnt need it anymore as mum bought me a new king size bed wen we moved in here.

So thats my update, please reply and lets get this back on track........ might do my soa so u can give me tips etc

Also forgot to say a few things LOL

The day after we moved house, my other half went to the old house to start cleaning it whilst i went and got the carpet cleaner from the shop. On way to old house, my car over heated and i stopped for 10 mins then drove to new house as it was closer. I couldnt get water cap off, so phoned my dad and he came over. He was tinkering with my car and putting water in it etc when out of the water tank came litres and litres of wot i can only call sick! My dad was like omg this doesnt look good, i think you have oil in ur water and you have fried ur engine. I must have had a panic attack coz i came over all funny and hot etc, thinking great i have ruined my car and i was imagining the worst as i always do... all day i was worried sick about it, mum got a friend of ours out the next day, a sunday bless him and he said my car was fine and since then its worked fine so god no's wot had happened but i now check my water all the time.

Then my washing machine packed in and was going to cost more to fix than it wud to get a new one. Managed to get a brand new one for £95 from someone who had only had it one month,Its whirlpool one and should be a few hundred quid so thats good.

My partner has send his phone to mazuma and got £120 and i am sending an old one back tomorrow and getting £16. woo hoo!!

hi good to see you posting again and on a very positive note!! :):) Glad you are enjoying the new house. Sounds like you have had a manic time!

I would post a soa to see if there is anymore svings to be made, but would say maybe do a spending diary for a mth to see where the £400 is going.
Do you know the dates etc forwhen things are coming out and going in - i guess if you have dfferent amounts coming in throught the mth you need to be mega organised for what you need in the bank for dds etc...

Glad you got that sorted with AOL - its really bad as some people (prob me in past times) would have just paid it and nt thought about it!! when you didnt even owe anything!!

Look forward to reading your diary some more xxx

Hi Smarties - nice to have you back!!

I agree - your new house is obviously filling you with positivity!!

Is there any chance you can map out when your money goes in and out your account and if possible move a D/D or 2 to smooth the month out rather than leaving you short in places? (I have real problems as I get paid weekly and D/D's are monthly... some months I have 2 large D/D's in one week so I am paying out more than I earn and other months its spread more evenly depending on how the weeks fall.

Definitely have a go at the spending diary - it is amazing where those pennies go and how quickly they all add up!

Keep in touch - Nats x

    Thanks for your thoughts girls.
Mummy - i was only talking to someone at work today about "most" people probably paying the money as i may have if i had it but i "knew" i didn't owe them anything. SO even tho i was worried, i told them to look into it, whether they did or not i am not sure but its closed now - phew.

Mummy and Nat - i get paid monthly from my job but get my dp's wages weekly, tax credits weekly and child benefit monthly! Gets confusing.

Am shattered at the mo but i will post when everything goes in and out, so you can see wot i mean! x
  • i too get paid monthly, OH gets paid weekly, child beneifit monthly and i changed my tax credits to monthly to help pay ofr my monthly child care bill. Much easier that way.
