Woolies - closing down sale tomorrow (11/12/08)

Everything 50% off or more (off of original price) at my woolies, which closes in 4 days.

Went in today, ipod stereo speaker system for £4.49, was about to get a cheap one from argos for over £8 so pleased with that.

Staff were amazing, having a joke with me about who needed the money in their till more, really friendly even though they only have days left, wished me a merry christmas. So sad to see staff hugging each other almost in tears.

I noticed that they were selling Lost seasons 1,2,&3 for £59.99 each , which is double the price of most retailers.

went into commerical road this morning and almost everything was atleast 50% off now with most stuff being 60 or 70%
even all computer games and dvd's were 50% and they still had a bit there

got packs of 4 fruit shoots for 50p a pack... wish id got some more now at that price
a nice hard backed note book 25p
and some plastic ringbinder wallets half price to £1

was shocked to see alexandra burkes cd though lol - didn't think they would be getting any new stock after the announcement of them closing

I went into Sheffield (the Moor) store earlier today - seemed like it was at least 50% off everything, although they didn't have a massive amount left, and had fenced off a substantial part of the back of the store. They seemed to have some Guitar Heros left but I didn't get chance to look at the games. Pic 'n' mix was £2 for a bag full, so I got some of that - people were going a bit mad trying to fill their bags, and I gave a wry smile to a security guard close by as someone greedily shoved their hand into a tub and sent a load of sweets flying all over the floor.

I then joined the long queue with my pic 'n' mix and some chocolate bars, but 20 minutes later I had hardly moved in the queue and realised I was going to be late for an appointment if I left it much longer. I went back to the pic 'n' mix and saw the security guard who was there before, and I explained to her that I couldn't wait any longer and that I didn't know what to do with my full bag - and she took me up to the front of the queue and told the assistant that I wasn't feeling well and so could she serve me next so I could get some fresh air!!

Went into the Broadmead, Bristol woolies today and not much left there. They are closing on 27th. Nearly everything @ 50% off inc cd's, dvd's, confectionary and some stuff like clothes were 70% off. I picked up Alan Carrs 'Look Who it Is' for £5.99 and a girls school dress for £1.20 so was pleased with that. Still a few toys left and saucepans and other bits and bobs so worth a look.

i think it'd reduce at the till, but its a risk when q'in!

got season 3 lost at my woolies yesterday for £19 which is pretty good really!
