i'm not sure, but there was only a couple of days between the 30% and the 40% off kids clothes, so i would think in another couple of days
Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok

Hi all, just been in to my local Woolies and thought I would say they are getting ready to close in the next couple of weeks.
The staff are not getting paid and have to put a claim in for their final wages (which they may or may not get!), as such they have put tip jars on the tills. If anyone is shopping there over the next few weeks please spare a thought and throw a couple of quid in the jars.
It's not nice thinking they are going to have a very poor Christmas and it's not their fault their managers ran the place in to the ground!

Woolworths staff will be getting paid, my husband works there and their pays are being confirmed this week, its the redundancy package that they will have to apply for. All woolworths stores will be closed by the 5th January, even those that are being taken over by other companies will be shut down to be fitted out and the staff will have to apply for jobs there just like any other potential employee.
tying hard to cut down grocery shop bill...
  • i got a pair of kids swimming goggles for 10p with 30% off. think ill head to mine before it closes and hopefully get a few xmas gift bags, cards and a few things for DH if there is anything left. :-)

Since woolies went into closing down mode all price changes appear to happen on a Thursday.

Usdaw has been notified by the administrators that the following stores will close on 27 December 2008.

    S!!!!horpe

    HAHAHAHA! Nice one swear filter...

Ah, I remember going to the Preston store for a cuppa when shopping with my mum there. It had a little cafe in there tucked away behind the selection boxes.

I'm surprised Bethnal Green isn't one of the first, it looked bare the day the sale started.
  • In my local woolies they had a double buggy (side by side one) 60% off, now £40

and buggies now £18 from £45. Ladybird range.

    Toys 30-50 % off
    sweets now 20% off
    homeware 40% off
  • Do iceland staff get discount at woolworths?.
