But for obvious reasons last week is not the same as this week!
You can still use vouchers, we take allsorts, high street, love to shop, provident, capital bonds, etc. They are now treated like cash so you will get cash back if there is any change.
For the poster who wanted to know about a faulty DVD player, short answer, you can have a refund as its faulty but you have to have proof of purchase otherwise no chance!Freebies - Savvy Shopping Bag, Energy Saving Plug, Hugo Boss SampleWinnings - Dvd The Road sold on Ebay for a tenner:j0 -

Further evidence of why Woolies are in the state they're in:
Guitar Hero World Tour w/ Guitar:
Woolies - £74.99.... now with 10% discount
HMV - £59.99
Tesco - £50!!!
So they're already 50% more expensive more than Tesco.....0 -
Now i have children I am very sad that Woolworths is closing. Yes it does have some low quality stuff but in that shop you can find many good things. .. It is local to me and I can get a whole load of stuff for the children... like costumes, logo underpants, stationary, craft & painting, party stuff, toys, worth-it socks for baby - we also used the shop as a day out and would spend a good hour there looking at the toys then I would buy him a pound toy to take home. I for one will definately miss Woolworths. I got my worth-it freeview and dvd from there too.
I feel that the shop should have branded it self as a shop for chilren's stuff on a low budget as there were selling stuff that families would want ...“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

I personally would not shop somewhere that was selling goods, over the odds, just to keep it in business!
I do feel bad for those losing thier jobs and wish them all the best but would you pay £20 for an item that is selling for £15 in the next shop?? I dont consider myself a Vulture for shopping there more now with the closing down sale on, who wouldnt?
It didn't say her comments where correct just that under current the circumstances heat of the moment comments while under stress are understandable + shop floor staff would have no direct influence over the prices Woolies charge for goods.0 -
If you bought something online you do have a receipt - your order and dispatch confirmationsNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

Good example but this doesn't mean Woolies is intentionally trying to rip people off, I would guess that they are all roughly making the same margin (profit) but Tesco & HMV are buying it cheaper because they have more buying / negotiating power, hence they can sell it cheaper....... not that it makes any difference to the price conscious consumer0 -
I had my first Saturday job in Woolies in Croydon when I was 16, Im now 48 but I remember it like it was yesterday. I used to work on the sweet counter, and there were always regulars who came in for certain sweets every Saturday. I used to like getting the stock from the stock room and "enjoying" a few sweets while I was there!! Good luck to anyone working there.
Reminded me when I was little, my Mum would always get a bag of pic 'n' mix for watching Saturday night television and a box of Mis-shapes for us.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017
