Bit rubbish, went to my local store, most of it had been lapped up by the chavs. Who knows what they were buying since the discounts were worse than the original sale. The posters were not even on offer! They hid them in the corner of the store. Yet last week when I went to a branch further out they were 50% off! Wish I had got some then. Will wait until Woolies is actually closing down.Graduated this year.

I popped into my local Woolies as I was in town, was heaving, and they had the back doors blocked off, dunno why, but there were no bargains to be had.0

To be honest I think the administraters were very cleaver with this, making an announcement to make people think it will be cheaper. I dont know what you mean that they were worse than the original sale as the clothing has an extra 10% off and bikes an extra 20% off. Not sure about the posters cause I noticed they were 50% off last week too, must have been taken off for some reason.
Just wait till you hear your local's date of closure then you should get UP TO 90% off!
P.s not having a moan at you just wanted to make it a bit clear :-sFreebies - Savvy Shopping Bag, Energy Saving Plug, Hugo Boss SampleWinnings - Dvd The Road sold on Ebay for a tenner:j0 -

I picked up some posters in my local branch today and there were no signs anywhere near them and they had also been moved to the corner of the store but they still came up at half price on the till!
Also picked up a few birthday cards at half price, some xmas "thank you" cards for 70p and a huge fleece Power Rangers blanket for my son for £2.97
Store was packed though and when I left people were queueing to get in!!0 -
We have a small Woolies in our parade of shops, popped in the other day but wasn't anything I really wanted (reduced enough in their sale!), but today wow I have never seen so many cars and people thinking they may a get a bargain! I can't believe Woolies will cease to exist or really understand how they have gone under, they were everyones staple shop. So sad.0

i want to say things to shut up moaning people on here especially the ones giving grief to staff:mad: but won't not just yet anyway!!!
obviously some people don't understand administration and who is in charge of the woolworths at the moment:mad:
save woolies
Government should have done something!
Staff should not be getting grief!!!
BUT why should the government do something? Woolies management should have done something over the years to make the business profitable!0 -

Exactly
Sad for staff losing their jobs - just as it is sad for anyone losing heir job, however to suggest that the government should step in is ridiculous.
If people love Woolworths so much, as opposed to loving the idea of it, then there would be no need for it to close as it would be one of the busiest stores in the land.0
