Hi, hope this kind of query has not already been answered!!
My bro-in-law has bought my 3 yr old some god awful bratz stuff only suitable for ages 6+. He has lost the receipt (idiot) and its from Woolworths (however it does say on the box its exclusive the the store only) Its faulty, where do I stand, can I return it? If so what can i expect as a refund? HELP!
notices up in our stores about exchanges only no refund .... you might get an exchange but at price it scan's at on the day you return it which will be practically couple of pounds ....plus ....store might not have much left .....if its faulty might be better chasing the manuafacturers address or phone number might be on the packaging ....or selling it on through ebay
my daughter ended up with 7 bratz dolls she likes them ...but only so many dolls she can play with0 -
So what to make of this sign posted at Woolworths’ tills currently? It says: “No Refunds. Exchanges only.” It also points out that this new rule “does not in any way affect your statutory rights”
Good, because those rights are statutory and Woolworths - even though trading in administration - cannot usurp them with its own rules.
And so, a timely public service announcement: one of your statutory rights is the right to a refund for faulty goods. Note that’s faulty goods - not goods returned simply because you later decided they’re rubbish (what did you expect - you bought them from Woolworths?!). Nor do you have any right to a refund if a fault with a product was made clear before purchase.
But… if you’ve bought knock-down bargains from Woolies that turn out to be faulty and you return them for refunds before the stores shut up shop, and the sales assistant flashes the “No Refunds” sign at you, flash your statutory rights right back at them.
But do it nicely, folks - that’s a blameless and soon-to-be-redundant sales assistant you’re flashing at.0 -

Ours closes tomorrow. I fully intend to go up there for a quick scout tomorrow afternoon. Don't expect to get anything, but you never know. I might find something interesting.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Really great bargains to be had but was feeling very sad as I was stood in the queue for the last time. Took half an hour to get to the front of the queue and the store was due to close 2 minutes after I left with still a massive queue behind me but the staff on the tills were pretty chirpy and obviously appreciated everyones well wishes.0 -

I have 2woolies gift cards with money on them. Does anyone know if woolies are still accepting these (That's if there's anything left in my local store - closes 5th Jan). Thought I would go have a look tomorrow and try the cards but don't want to queue for ages to be told cannot use them.0

Administrators for Woolworths said that the company was still accepting gift vouchers that were sold in its own stores and valid only at Woolworths. However the stores are also not accepting the Kingfisher vouchers, because the Kingfisher scheme was run by a different part of the Woolworths business that is not in administration.0
