Our store was supposed to close today - according to the list.
It isn't closing until the 5th! The list is incorrect.

My store closed today - still hideously overpriced to the end, selling Lost DVD set for £44 (reduce from 50-something) - guess the branch manager didn't get the memo about slashing prices to clear.

P.S. anyone remember C&A closing? There was a similar kind of national outpouring of grief back then, IIRC.

Our Woolworths moved into the old C&A store! Maybe the store is cursed?!

Picked up a few bits in our local today, quite a few pairs of baby socks at 25p a pair. Also got some party bits (table cloths/Power ranger card face masks) 7p each!

aah yes. good old c&a. a great place for cheap skiwear!

some of the woolies closing dates seem to be changing don't they? perhaps they still have a lot of stock to shift.

Still quite a lot of stock in my local - today I got table partyware 50p, cyber pet 50p, various pc puzzle games 12-50p, happy birthday and congratulations banners 30p, christmas cards 60p, felt tip pens sets 25p, paintbrushes 44p

ours went 70% off last week some point so about 7-10 days before closing

I went into my local branch today and got a huge tub of pick and mix for £1.99 and two big bags of haribo for a £1 and 30 ball point pens for a £1 as well. I feel quite bad, like a vulture!

So all stores are 70% now even though they went 50% on Boxing Day?

My local closes on the 2nd Jan btw.
