Was in my local Woolies again today - books were at 50% off, managed to get the new Cecelia Ahern book for £5.50, and confectionery was also 50% off which was just rude to ignore! :P Got Wispas, Kit Kat Senses and Aeros for 24p each, and they had plenty of others as well.
My sister filled a large Pick 'n' Mix cup with Quality Street which cost her £1.50, and we worked out that gram for gram she'd made a pretty good saving rather then buying a tin/box, and she got to pick out all the ones she liked as well - bonus! I'm going down there tomorrow to do the same thing I think
CD selection was alright, some stuff I might have considered if I still bought CDs, but DVDs were pretty scarce - best thing I saw was Hancock for £7.90 after discount xxx0 -
Southport closed today, I got a few bargains in CDs and DVDs when they were 80% off:
Extras complete DVD box £8
Ferris Bueller/Top Gun/Beverley Hills Cop 3DVD set £1
Amongst the CDs which had been put upto £11.97 and were now £2.39:
Courteeners
Portishead
Beth Rowley
Rolling Stones (Shine A Light soundtrack)
Plus loads of others for £1 or less, including Sam Sparro. It's worth having a good trawl through to see what you can find, plus have a look at what's on display behind the entertainment counter - they're not hiding stuff, you've just got to keep your eyes peeled. That way I got the 2cd deluxe edition of the Duffy album for £2.61.
I'm made up; even at 80% off I managed to spend £85. It was all dead friendly as well, compliments to the cheery staff who were working hard and smiling despite the crappy circumstances they're in.0 -
Ours closed today but nothing worth having by lunchtime. There was 80% off then 90% at 3ish, at 4.30pm fill a basket for £3 or a trolley for £10 with whatever you like in it! It was HEAVING! My mate picked up a starwars advent calander that you make the scenes for 86p from £20, bottled water for 6p and much more:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0

Went in today, got boys school trousers for 60p (it only stated 50% off on signs!!)
Also, does anyone have the link for closure dates for stores0 -
Nintendo WII + 4 games and 3 controllers + WII for £65.
Not bad.0 -
My store closed today and we went in and there was hardly anything left at all and they had signs up offering the fixtures and fittings for sale. All I saw that I would have bought was christmas cards for 20p but I couldn't be bothered to be honest.
I feel so bad that it's closed now. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies
