Spent my last ever tenner in Woolies today, ours is closed after today. All clothing and shoes were down to 50p an item, so got plenty of stuff for my kids and some pressies for nieces and nephews. Wasn't a huge amount left but was worth my while, especially as my son needed new trainers and I managed to get some for 50p. We que'd for about 15 mins, and all staff and customers behaved perfectly
Wasn't an unpleasent experience except for the sense of sadness that it will be no more. 0 -
Our local doesn't close til 2nd of Jan so still at 50% off. LOADS & LOADS of kids jeans all age 5-6 in black and blue at £1 also leggings age 2-3 at £1 but not much else.
There was a poster in the window saying a big thank you to the customers :sad:0 -
Just been into Newcastle city centre branch which was closing today and had 90% off there too - I am buzzing at the bargains I got (mostly for DD birthday)!!
Camp Rock Soundtrack - 1.01
Cheetah Girls CD - 40p
Flip flop gift set - 50p
Bratz doll / dressing room set - 2.49 (from 24.99)
Cascada album - 50p
Heart door curtain - 50p
Catz 2008 for Nintendo DS - 1.98 (from 19.97)
3 lovely birthday cards - all less than 30p
2 packs each paper cups and napkins and 1 pack paper plates - 15p each
i only paid £8.62 for the lot, so am very happy as I had told DD that we couldnt afford much for her birthday this yr (hubby is facing redundancy) :j0 -

does anyone have any idea if they have any chart cds left in the stores?0

I got Gossip Girl series 1 for 4 quid but it didnt have the outer box for it.
3 books all new chart ones and 50p each
Al Murray series 1 4 quid
and some paper for 10p.
I forgot Jack Johnsons new album for a pound0 -
Got some good bargain Blu-Rays', PS3 games and chart CD's today. Have to say I felt somewhat horribly mercenary taking advantage of their downfall. I kinda comforted myself that I've been a good customer in the past .... that and the £90 saved!0

You shouldn't feel bad buying in Woolies as if you are spending, surely it will help to ensure the staff are paid won't it?Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
